Had a lovely time at this delightful hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The glass of Prosecco at check in was a nice touch. The farewell gift at check out was a nice surprise too. The breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from. The hotel was away from the main part of the town but near enough to walk to all the restaurants. Would certainly visit this hotel again.

Have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at this hotel. It was our first visit to Lake Garda but I somehow think it won't be our last. From the minute we stepped into the hotel until the time we left the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were offered a refreshing drink on our arrival and then shown a map of where we were, were the restaurants and the shops were, and how to get there. had a beautiful 10-15 minute walk along the Lake front every evening to get into Bardolino, were there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. You must get a gelato from Christellos Gelaterie, they are divine. We had a room with a Lake View, was well worth the extra, no bath only a shower, bit on the small side if you are a larger person, but will give me an incentive to lose weight for next year, lol. The pool was nice and quiet, we could always get a sunbed for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but really spent most of the time exploring. The air con was a welcome plus as well, and was very effective. All in all a wonderful first experience on our first visit, and will hopefully be back next year.

Room Tip: Was told if you require a bigger shower then to choose 202 0r 302.

This was our first visit to Lake Garda but it will definitely not be our last ! We had heard how nice the area was but it surpassed our expectations. We had specifically chosen this Hotel in Bardolino as our base to explore the various places on the Lake based on the many, very positive reviews. We are delighted that we did as they were all accurate in their praise of the staff who, as many others have said, do everything to make your stay a memorable one and always with a smile. We stayed for 7 nights and nothing was too much trouble throughout. The welcome greeting on arrival with a glass of prosecco was a nice touch and the breakfasts were great with plenty of choice and great service again. We had "panoramic" Room 301 which was large and very clean with a large balcony and fantastic front view across the lake - well worth the additional cost. Nice clean bathroom with great shower. The pool area was nice with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas for shade when it got too hot. The hotel is a short easy walk from the centre of Bardolino and can be taken alongside the Lake. Also handy for bus stops for visiting other places on the Lake - Malchesine is a must and from there a short boat trip to Limone. All in all we had a fantastic time and thank Nicola, his 2 brothers and all their terrific staff for their hospitality - we will be back for sure !

Room Tip: Ask for a Panoramic room on 3rd or 4th floor facing the Lake - a little more expensive but well wort...

We stayed in Hotel Gardenia for a week in August. When we arrived it was 37 degress so the lovely modern room in the annex with excellent airconditioning was very helpful. On our arrival day it happened to be my birthday and the staff had arranged for a lovely surprise after check-in - a bottle of Prosecco! Can't start a holiday in Italy any better :-)

There are two pools, one at the hotel and one at the villa Gardenia so very good choices. The lake and the town of Bardolino are in good walking distance and the staff can recommend good restaurants. They will also call an book a table for you just to be sure in the busy august month.

Breakfast is lovely, with inside and outside tables and a fine choice of goodies, both healthy and naughty. The espresso from the bar is a good way to kickstart your day.

We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to come back someday, thank you for making it a great vacation!

This is a family owned and managed hotel and this is evident from the moment you walk through the door. We had a 5 night stay but at the end we didn't want to leave. The hotel is in a nice location and the customer service provided is exceptional. All the staff from management to housekeeping are very professional, friendly and pay attention to detail. Our room was nicely appointed and exceptionally clean with a balcony and view of the lake which was well worth the extra cost. A nice breakfast is served indoors or outdoors. We would return and recommend without hesitation.

Room Tip: The front rooms with balcony overlooking the lake are worth the extra cost.

Absolutely wonderful! This was a fabulous hotel for a great price. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and located very strategically so that it was easy to get to the lake, the town and even near a bus stop that took us to Verona. We were able to walk to a beautiful winery and wine museum called Zeni.

Our compliments to the staff! Incredibly nice and helpful! They made sure our stay was nothing less than perfect!

Room Tip: the back of hotel-on a road but never heard a car or person.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Gardenia it was recommended to us by a friend and I must say lived up to all expectations and more. We stayed in the Villa Charme which is owned by the hotel and just a short distance away and had a room with Views of the lake. The balcony had a table and chairs and two sunbeds which was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food to suit everyone. The staff were the most helpful and friendliest I have ever come across nothing was too much trouble, The reception staff were so helpful and sorted out taxis , and train timetable for our trip to Venice. We also used the mini bar in the hotel which we thought was reasonably priced. We will definitely return to this hotel as we have so much more exploring to do .

Room Tip: We had room 114 in the villa Charme and it was lovely.
