Nice hotel close to Lake Garda and the centre of Bardolino where you can find lots of good restaurants (Taverna da Memo). By car you can be in Verona within half an hour. We visited this hotel at the end of October and could still enjoy the benefits of the huge jacuzzi outside. This hotel is full of lovely details, such as a pillow menu. Another plus: the friendly and extremely helpful staff. One of them suggested to visit the Thermal Park Garda in nearby Cola di Lazise. This is really a very relaxing spot: swimming in hot water, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A good suggestion!

Well designed hotel with stylish well maintained public areas. Relaxing atmosphere.
Our room was reasonable size with well appointed bathroom. Very clean. Daily linen change etc.
Staff very pleasant and helpful ( even though end of season!)
Conservatory style restaurant with very good buffet breakfast and excellent dining in the evening. Good range of bar meals available at pool bar.
Swimming pools very attractive - 4 to choose from with plenty of surrounding space - make sure to find the one through the garden across the lane - a v. pleasant surprise.
Although not on the lake edge, only a couple of minutes walk to lake, then 10 mins to the town centre where there are lots of bars restaurants and shops. V handy for ferry too.

This hotel has a very modern but also a very cosy and friendly feel, unlike some of the new modern hotels which can feel a little soul less. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful especially the reception. The rooms were very clean and airy although we did pay for an upgrade for a larger one with balcony. All lounge, and pool areas were great, the bar being particularly good for a hotel bar, our only gripe however is the same one we have with all hotels, the drinks are over expensive and I'm sure we would have spent more time there had the prices been only slightly more than the town bars a short walk away. We will return
to the Lakes and will definitely be staying hear.

What a find !! From the moment of our arrival to the time we left it would be hard to find fault. All, and I mean ALL, the staff were courteous, friendly, happy, helpful .... nothing was a problem to them. The whole hotel, grounds, pools, and even the carpark were spotlessly clean. Decor was brilliant, and the more you looked the more interesting things you found. We kept finding swimming pools !! 4 in total, You can select a pool to tune in with your mood. Food? Out of this world! Better in quality and price than the restaurants in town.
We will return ... definately !!!

Absolutely loved this hotel for sooooo many reasons:

Decor: Really funky, stylish and colourful. So pretty. It feels like a paradise when you walk around it.

Room: We stayed in the Samsara Suite. I loved the round bed! The suite was really spacious and comfy. The jacuzzi was in a separate room to the shower and bathroom which was great. The soft drinks in the minibar are free. There was also free internet. The room was cleaned every morning and there was a turn down service in the evening. When we came back from dinner the bed clothes were turned down and 2 sweets waiting for us! We had a big balcony too. There were also 2 tv's, one in bedroom and one in living room.

Service: Everybody was so friendly and helpful

Parking: Free!

Pool: So many gorgeous pools!!! And the view around the pools was lovely with all the trees and plants.

Food: The A la Carte menu has loads of choices. We had pizza and lasagne, yummy! There was loads of choice for breakfast, something to suit everyone. Also a supermarket next store.

Location: So near to the town, only a few minutes walk away. Also a very short drive to Gardaland. We also drove to Garda, Verona and Malcesine, it didnt take long at all!!

I want to go back!!

We have just returned from our fourth stay at the Color, this time sadly only for 5 days, but on a happier note the hotel is as splendid as on our earlier visits.

Everything about the hotel simply oozes class, elegance and style, and what seems like a small army of staff keep the communal areas, lounges, bars, gardens, pools [all 5 of them] and of course the bedrooms absolutely pristine.

The reception staff present an efficient and friendly welcome, speedily completing the registration process and then showing you personally to your room.

We had a “mosaico suite” which gave us a generously sized room complete with large double bed, a small indoor sitting area, a balcony with seating, a large double wardrobe with room safe and a nicely appointed bathroom. Guily kept everything immaculate for us. Soft drinks from the mini-bar are not charged for.

The pool areas are simply great, there were plenty of loungers/parasols and the gardens of the 2 newer pools have matured nicely to give a choice of quieter and shadier areas as well as sun-bathing opportunities.

The buffet breakfasts offer a wide choice of, well, anything you are likely to want really, we couldn’t think of any omissions. All the cheeses, fruits, bread, eggs, salads, hams, cereals, breads, cakes [probably missed something] are nicely presented and you are greeted on entering by the seemingly tireless Franco.

We visited the restaurant for two evening meals and on each occasion were more than happy with the quality of both food and service. The wines were perhaps a little pricey but in total the meal cost compared pretty well with the nicer restaurants in the town and this was especially welcome on rainy evenings. One evening there was an excellent pianist providing a nice backdrop to our dinner.

The hotel is situated about 400 yards from the lakeside and a further 400 yards from the town centre. The Via S. Cristina is a busy main road but frankly just was not an issue to us. The hotel and gardens are an oasis. It also seemed to us that Italian drivers are actually coming to terms with stopping at the zebra crossings nowadays, though still take care!

We highly recommend the Color and hope to return for our 5th visit before too long.
