Our family of four stayed here for one night on our way to our holiday destination in Croatia. We booked two different room types - the ARCOBALENO and the JUNIOR SUITE (this was a last minute choice, so selection was limited). Both of the rooms had carpeting, which is not my favourite thing in a hotel, however, they were clean and tidy, and included a minibar with drinks, bathrobes and towels, and good quality toiletries. The rooms also had generous balconies and the hallways were quiet. Unfortunately, I did feel that they were both quite dark, and considering the price we paid (yes, last minute booking, but still...), the views were nothing special, overlooking a car park in one case. The rooms, in my opinion, only qualify for a score of three out of five.

However, the pool facilities were amazing! The best we have experienced in Italy, frankly. There were several large pools, heated, with loads of free-to-use pool toys, serviced bars with friendly staff, several sunbeds, ping pong tables, etc. Well maintained and gorgeous grounds. Five out of five, definitely.

The reception staff was also lovely - very accommodating when we arrived several hours before check-in, taking charge of our bags and making sure they were placed in our rooms while we strolled into town.

The hotel is located just on the edge of Bardolino, which is lovely Italian seaside town. The hotel parking is a blessing, as there are many cars around, and parking can be crazy, especially during market days.

All in all, we really enjoyed our one night at Hotel Color, and would stay here again should we ever come back this way.

We spent five nights here for our honeymoon. We originally chose this hotel for it's excellent reviews online and since visiting we can only agree with these. Friendly, helpful staff, a clean and very well presented hotel, lovely food in the evening. A super stay!
Bardalino was nice too, however we had spent the previous week getting married in Malcesine (30 minutes up the lake) and really Malcesine is on a completely different league of beauty, history and culture. Nevertheless we ate at some nice restaurants, did some shopping and had some good ice cream.

wow,not long returned from the colour hotel and missing it already and hoping to return next year..the staff are great especially franco head of the restaurant and luigi nothing being to much trouble for them, reception staff also very friendly and accommodating not to mention sandra who cleaned our room every day and turned down our beds in the evening leaving a differant coloured sweet on our pillows every night to our 4yr olds delight! we can definitely reccomend this hotel for those wanting the best in luxury hotels..

Room Tip: if you can afford them the suites are worth the extra pennies for that bit more space....plus a pool...

A great hotel with excellent customer service. Calm and relaxing garden and pool areas that are very popular with the children. Good location with about 10 minutes walking distance to the town centre. I can definitely recommended this hotel.

We spent a lovely week here at the beginning of July. I booked an Acquerello room which is mid-range, expensive for us but cheaper than simpler hotels in Verona. it was at the front on the third floor, which faces the road but has a view of the lake. Many rooms seem to overlook the dining area and pool but their balconies would lack privacy. The room was very clean and comfortable but the furniture and decor style are dull compared to the stylish public areas. Air-conditioning very good and quiet, bed huge, pillow menu really appreciated as hotel pillows are never firm enough for me!
Choice of 3 pools, a spa pool and a garden area means there are enough places to sunbathe - all very attractive, as are the open-air, covered areas when you need some shade. The staff are professional and friendly. Free bike hire is worth using as you can cycle along the lakeside to Garda or south to Lazise along a cycle/pedestrian path - perfect for non-cyclists like me!
We went to the evening buffet event on the rooftop. Despite the live music, it felt stiff and artificial. The starters and deserts were tasty and well-presented, but the main course was just plain grilled meat, roast potatoes and salad. Disappointed, as I expected something more sophisticated given the reputation of the hotel restaurant.
Overall we felt the standard of the hotel was very good and we would stay here again if we return to Bardolino.

Such lovely staff and really beautiful pool facilities. The hotel is fairly pricey but I think it's worth it. The breakfast is great aswell, really good spread and lots of choice! I highly recommend it!

Our 4 nights in the Color hotel were magnificent. We enjoyed our great room (junior suite), the four swimming pools, the superb Italian food and - last but not least - the 'service with a smile' that was provided by all staff at the Color Hotel.
Our aim was to have a short and laid back holiday with a lot of Sunshine and no hastle to get some rest after a very busy period. We succeeded in doing this at the Color Hotel and ended up spending most of our time on the Hotel's premises as everything we needed was present. Due to its location within walking distance of the center of Bardolino, we were able to stroll to this typical Italian town a couple of times and enjoyed the busy streets, squares and shops.
The hotel isn't cheap; rooms are expensive and food and drinks are certainly not cheap. We did, however, feel we were getting value for our money and would definetely consider to return here!
