We are and will remain entirely dissatisfied with the Parc Hotel Gritti. We will advise our business associates which are considerable and our many friends around the world to never book this hotel. We made reservations for two rooms, one room for our family visiting from the States and one for us on 22May2017 for occupancy on 7-9 Aug.We requested rooms with a Lake view and were advised this would be the case. We can't one night on 12 June due to a change in plans but we're advised this was no problem and paid in advance 533 euros for the two rooms for one night IAW hotel policy for non-refundable fees. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were given two rooms without a Lake view, one of which was supposedly room which we did not request further advised that the hotel did not even have rooms with a Lake view. We asked for an accommodation from the Hotel Manager, Anna, last name refused to us, but were denied any accommodation in fees at all. We asked to see her supervisor and were retired to a Mr. David Scalvini who advised us that Anna was his supervisor. We again requested to see a higher supervisor but were told the matter would be referred by the hotel, Anna, to a Mr. Adriano Faustini and Luca Fusi who would consisider the matter and advise us in the morning. The next morning, we received no accommodation whatsoever by Anna, Faustini, or Fusi. The accommodations we booked directly with the hotel were not those booked and payed for in advance in non refundable fees. We have stayed in hotels around the world and this is the worst we have ever been treated. If one values fairness to a customer, we would advise you, don't book at this hotel.

Room Tip: If you are looking for a room with a view of the Lake and pay for this view, don't pick this hotel

Let me preface this by saying I read the reviews on here and ignored them. I thought they were exaggerating.
So let me put the record straight...
Most of the reviews concerning this hotel are based on 2/3 nights stay over, the hotel certainly has a large turn over of guests. Look for reviews where they have stayed for the week or a fortnight.
Let's start with the good things:
The pool area is great, the bar is adjacent to the pool and the waiters and bar men are friendly and welcoming.
There are plenty of sun beds and enough umbrellas for shade. You won't have to get up at stupid o'clock to reserve a bed!
Towels for the pool are distributed by the lifeguard, who can be busy.
The area where afternoon tea is served is quiet and comfortable.
Are you a believer in first impressions count? On to the not so good things:
On arrival confronted by a receptionist who stuck to her script and when asked a question could only reply, ' I don't understand'...
The room, rusty bath - no not kidding, filthy grouting, cracked porcelain in the sink. Furnishings are lack lustre and tired.
But it has to be said the beds and pillows were great, very comfortable. Even though we booked a double room and where treated to a twin room! I may be over 50 but I ain't dead yet!
Now this was mentioned to the Thomson rep and in fairness Rachel did everything she could to put things right.
The food...average at best. All to frequently a mish mash affair.
Few people worthy of note, Christano and Kabir, work their socks off and always charming.
Bardolino is a wonderful place to stay, Lake Garda is charming and beautiful. So many places to visit and enjoy. It's a huge shame that Hotel Gritti doesn't add to the splendour of the area. Four star it is not. It promises something it is not, it is in a word, disappointing. Would you want to be disappointed on your annual leave?

Had a great holiday by Lake Garda.

The hotel was good. It started off well as we could check in early - the reception we're friendly & helpful.

We booked 2 rooms which were interconnecting but was more like a suite as only 1 outer door . Perfect for us and 12 year old.

The rooms were not on the refurbished section and were a bit faded but clean & spacious enough for us. We did have 3 or 4 maintenance issues but all were sorted extremely quickly - the best I've ever known . Cleaned daily & regular new towels.

The pool area was good - a large pool & amazingly no early morning rush got sun beds - fantastic.

Food was good - we ate out 4 times in 2 weeks. Food in the restaurants was fine - a decent choice and always full availability . However 14 consecutive nights would have been too much so eating out split it up. No complaints though and all staff great.

The location is brilliant - 20 metres to the lake & 5 minute walk to the town; a supermarket was the same distance .

A trip to Verona Is a must - a lovely city & watching an opera at the open air arena was special.

Overall - a brilliant holiday . The hotel is 3-4 star , closer to 4* & is perfectly located

I would definitely recommend it

On our way back from tuskany we stayed there for 2 nights. Reception service very arrogant. Rooms pretty small TV set even smaller. Breakfast ok. Big and nice pool. Poolside pretty crowded. Park nice as well. Sunbeds at Lido Mira Bello really nice. Initially, I wanted to give only 3 points. Writing this, in order to fair it is a 4 point rating. Friendliness could be better.

Room disappointing. Dull furnishings. Bathroom needs replaced. Sink cracked, toilet leaked, needs repainted. Air con good but had to stand on a chair to put it on so very inconvenient. Paid extra for a balcony which needs refurbished and furniture replaced. Room clean and serviced daily. Breakfast nice but no variety at all .Hotel in good position for short walk to restaurants .

Room Tip: There are two types of standard rooms so be careful of the one you chose
