On arrival, very late in the evening, we were advised that we had been given an upgrade and were deirected to a room at the front of the hotel. Large modern room, large balcony, air conditioning on and a great bathroom. Provided with robes and slippers and a complimentary bottle of prosecco.
We thought breakfast was very good, large selection of hot and cold food, breads and pastries. On one morning we had a continental breakfast delivered to our room, no additional charge. Ate lunch on one day at the pool grill and it was absolutely fine.
Good pool area, plenty of sun loungers and towels provided.
Cleaniness in the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful, really could not fault them at all.
Entertainment in the hotel every evening and from the number of guests at the pool area for the entertainment it clearly met the needs of guests who want evening entertainment.
The location of the hotel is excellent, slightly out of the main town activity but less than a ten minute walk along the promenade to restuarants, shops, etc. Also very close to the main bus stop if you want to visit other parts of the lake.
My wife and I are quite at odds with the ratings of other guests on Tripadvisor and we will definatel loo at other hotels in the group when visiting Italy.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front of the hotel and there was neither traffic noise or the sound of the even...

big and souless hotel with no attention to furnishing detail. Thank goodness i only paid for bed and breakfast.
To me they didn't seem to care, the staff were miserable (with the exception of the lady on reception who checked us in, she was very good).
When i wanted to have a towel for the pool you have to give your room number, they then check that it is on there list and when you have used the towel you have to take it back and give your number so they can check you again. whilst I appreciate people take advantage of the pool from outside and they want to control that i felt like we were being judged the same as any chancer.
the breakfast was average and the whole place is more geared to people who want to just live, sleep swim and eat at the hotel, be regimented and checked and never experience the brilliance that is Bardolino, Lake Garda, Italian cuisine and wine.
only given it 2 stars because it is very convenient for the centre of town and the Lake. also very noisy. the room above us seemed to be rearranging the furniture every morning and boy could we here it!

Room Tip: if you like stylish rooms, don't ......as in choose a room. maybe that sounds harsh but the deco...

The location of this hotel is excellent, couldn't fault this, on the lake front and a short 5 minute stroll into Bardolino. However, we were a little disappointed by the decor of the hotel for a 4 star hotel, it is old fashioned and in need of an update.

The reception staff on our arrival were not particularly friendly, and similarly on our departure, no welcome and no goodbye. Courtesy and manners were definately missing. However this could not be said for the pool / restuarant staff, who were efficient and pleasant.

The hotel was clean and the maids work hard keep it clean to a good standard. The balcony is a good size and useful to have, however our view was rubbish (we had a room at the side of the hotel). The sound proof in the rooms isn't great, could hear someone snorning from the next room, and there was a lot of noise from the room above!

Fresh towels were supplied in the room each day. Complimentary bath robes and slippers were avaiable , with the usual toiletries. Mini bar fully stocked each day, as well as the tea & coffee. On arrival, we received a complimentary bottle of bubbly, a bottle of water and a small bag of sweets. A botttle of water was left each day in the room too, which was useful.

The pool area is large and spacious, with lots of sun loungers (although sometimes difficult to get one in the afternoon) and places to sit and have a drink, or something to eat. Would definately recommend the pool side restaurant. Towels for the sun loungers are provided, and there is a 1 euro charge if they are not returned.

The hotel provides you with a card to use opposite the hotel at Lido Mirabello, for a sun lounger on a lovely (private) lake side sunning area. The eating area is good there too. Would definately recommend this. The views of the lake are stunning from here.

We ate only once in the evening at the hotel, as there are lots of great places to eat in Bardolino. However it was good value for money, tasty and lots to chose from. There are two breakfast resturants, one seems a little more formal than the other. Again, lots to chose from and a good contentinal selection, as well as the usual egg, bacon and tomotoes too!

Would definately go back to Bardolino, the area is stunning and being so close to the ferry port it's an excellent location to travel to different parts of the lake. However, probably would stay at another hotel next time.

This is our second time to this hotel, the first being about five years ago. Food quality has gone down hill a long way since our first visit and our main concern from our last visit has not changed. That is security. There are 3 public entrances into the pool area that anyone can come into the grounds around the sun loungers. The weekly market is just outside the gates with hundreds of passing people .We saw several people come in for a look around or simply use the pool.
I had problems trying to pay my bill and tourist tax, some of the reception staff were less than helpful.
Rooms are clean but with paper thin walls and balconies with a view of trees only.
At evening meal our main complaint was that if you got into the dining room later then food was not topped up or replaced leaving a poor selection. It looks like cost is more important than customers requirements. The bread buns were good for pulling out fillings.

Room Tip: Choose a better hotel as there does not appear to be better rooms.

Dear Jstuy,

thank you for your review. As for the outside pool, we would like to remind you that only guests can use it. We try to offer plenty of food, which we frequently top up; unfortunately, if you go to the dining room too late, it may happen that there's not much food left. Anyway, we are sorry that you found some inconveniences: we would like you to come again for the third time so as to see for yourself our real standard.

We have just spent 2 weeks at Hotel Parc Gritti in Bardolino. The hotel was welcoming and looked clean, fresh and airy. At first we thought the long walk to our room, number was going to be a long way away from the restaurant, pool, reception etc, but when we arrived it was almost central to everything. The room was spacious with a large bed, good storage, TV, kettle etc, good size bathroom with hair dryer, mini bar/fridge which we emptied and put our own drinks in and a good size balcony. The air con worked brilliantly and kept the temperature steady all day. The restaurant was excellent for both Breakfast and dinner buffet style with just about everything, you certainly didn't go hungry. The waiting team were great especially our waiter Surggi who was very attentive and polite. All the hotels facilities are very well maintained, clean and tidy. (i don't recall ever seeing one piece of litter) The hotel is ideally situated for a 5-10 minute stroll along a board walk into the main town of Bardolino which has fantastic restaurants, cafe's, small shops and ice cream parlours, you can also catch the ferries here, its also a small 5 minute stroll to the bus terminal for excursions and the local supermarket. I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel in Bardolino and we will be returning again soon.

Room Tip: Our room 192 was excellent and very central to everything, quiet and comfortable, although the balco...

Other reviews noted a few negatives about this hotel but we did not experience any problems at all.
The hotel is quite large and has a few distinct external spaces which is nice. The pool area is also where daily entertainment was; a sitting area was where Afternoon Tea was provided and there's a small water-garden area again with seating and tables adjacent.
The rooms are not ultra-modern but are clean, well-maintained and comfortable; most seemed to have a balcony and our's was nicely placed although some may not be depending on your needs.
The Fitness Suite was very good with gym and indoor pool although it did get hot in the afternoon - but not too hot.
The breakfast was possibly the best buffet choice I've ever seen and I don't think that there was anything missing. The daily fresh bread was especially nice.
The dinners (we were on half-board) were also very good indeed. There is an extensive salad bar with many choices of dressed salads, un-dressed salads and cold meats. There were daily pasta choices so many choices for a starter or light main course. The mains always had a good choice of hot meats and a daily carved meat and cooked vegetables. Desserts were sweets, ice cream and very nice cheeses. All were good and the price to buy a meal which was I believe EUR17 would have been a good price.
Finally, Afternoon Tea was a nice extra that the hotel provided. Tea and coffee were available and a few biscuits / cake; the latter was not to our taste but was popular with others.
Overall we had a great stay at the hotel and felt that the hotel provided all that we needed

Room Tip: check the balcony orientation if you can

Stayed here in july for 5 nights and found it most enjoyable. There was plenty of choice with the food .The rooms are large enough although a bit dated but kept clean ,also with a large balconey. The swimming pool was fine although the markings for the steps and deeper water werent always easy to see.The town is a short walk away and is a lovely place to visit with shops, bars ,restaurants and sometimes entertainment.Plenty of seats to stop on your way there around the lake.I would recommend to stay here.

Room Tip: seyingle people dont seem to get a balconey
