My second visit to the delightful Gambero Rosso was as memorable as my first. We were welcomed as old friends, (my wife has been there other times) of this totally family-run restaurant. We discussed wines with the son-in-law, the season with the husband, and the food with the wife, who runs the kitchen. Her daughter took the orders. Advice to the next reader: don't order, just tell them to get on with it and trust them to do well. They do. Many small plates of appetizers are followed by tasters of pasta dishes and there my wife gave up, it was enough. I had a hashed beef plate to finish and it was all beautiful. With two bottles of wine inside us we were driven by the owners back to our hotel a few miles away. I won't tell you the price but it was very reasonable. Go there, but book first, it is always crowded.
