I can't speak more highly of an Agriturismo than of this one. We went there twice on a recent holiday in Sardinia and were blown away both times. The setting is gorgeous - and as it's summer all the tables are outside on the terrace, surrounded by typical Sardinian rocks and bush. There is one evening sitting which in this case was at 8:45pm and the place is packed - although still very comfortable and spacious.
The food and wine start arriving at about the same time as you do. The first time we went we had no idea there would be so many amazing dishes so we ate too many starters - the second time we paced ourselves so we didn't have to miss anything at all. All the dishes are traditional, from the 12 or 15 first course dishes such as antipasti meats, grilled peppers, stuffed zucchini, grilled stuffed tomatoes and onions and many many more dishes through to the 3 pasta courses and the suckling pig which is that the region is famous for.
Super generous with the wine and food - and as if that isn't enough, after dinner they offer unlimited glasses of homemade Mirto - the traditional herbal liquor made by the family. Or grappa if you prefer. Every member of my family is in love with this place, it is absolutely amazing. If you are after typical traditional fare, then this is the place to go! And the price tag?? 35 Euro's a head including wine.
We visited a number of Agriturismo's but this one is simply in a league of it's own - nothing can compare. If you are lucky enough to visit Sardinia, don't miss this gem!
