Room: the weakest part; the first night bed broke in the middle (reported - exchanged next day); lacking or broken handles to open shelves (some fixed); lacking hangers in the wardrobe (reported - not placed); TV did not work (reported - unfixed); water leaking on the floor during taking shower (reported - unfixed); lack of flush cover (drops of water coming out while rewatering); last 3 days we didn't receive hotel soap (needed) and toilet paper

We reported issues above to the reception and asked for another room. The responsible person told us that it is possible in two days. However, two days later he said it is not possible, bc some other visitors extended their holidays...

Food and restaurant: Italian's food the best, as always; sometimes leftovers from previous meals were used to make creative salads; wine and water included to meals

Beach: small, gravel beach next to little port; you can use kayak and water-bike - only in the bay!

Staff: Very friendly, although could be more helpful with the room

Localization: rented car highly recommended

Only beautiful location, but careless.
The buffet has the same things; dessert scarse and of poor quality, poor fruit.
In the restaurant there were many flies that disturb customers.
Swimming in poorly maintained

Room Tip: quieter room

We spent 6 days from May 31st to 6th June at the Hotel Cala Bitta.
Rooms: we had a quiet family room which were spacious & cleaned every day. Sheets & towels changed everyday as well. Perfect for a family.
Restaurant: Carlos & his staff were fantastic in The Restaurant. Carlos had good English which was great as our Italian is very poor or non existent. Buffet food very good for lunches and dinners, great salads and pasta dishes, great for the children. Breakfast was basic but this appears to be the norm in Sardinia as lunch & dinner appear to be the main meals. The restaurant was buzzing at the weekend. Great atmosphere. Quiet during the week as in low season.
Location: fantastic, just a few km from the lovely Baia Sardinia beach & many other great beaches - Porto Cervo only 10 minutes drive. A car is strongly recommended (parking free in front of the hotel).
Entertainment: The crew were very friendly and some had good English and really made us feel welcome. Most guests are Italian so we were a bit of a novelty being English speaking.
Free wifi in the lobby and the public areas (ask for it at the reception).
A nice hotel to stay in at a reasonable price for the area that I would recommend for families. We would definitely return when next in The Costa Smeralda.

We spent one week from 9th to 16th July at the Hotel Cala Bitta.
Rooms: we asked for a quiet family room (pay attention as some are facing the disco or the nearby street). The 2 rooms were pretty spacious - really good for a family.
Restaurant: buffet food very good for lunches and dinners, breakfast quite poor (juices and coffee from machines). But as we had full board, this was not very important to us.
Restaurant a bit loud as not that big and full for lunches and dinners.
Location: fantastic, just a few km from the lovely Baia Sardinia beach - Porto Cervo only 5 km away. A car is strongly recommended (parking free in front of the hotel).
If you would like to have a change, a water park "Aquadream" is worth a visit - only 1 km away from the hotel.
Animation: only in italian, average quotation.
Free wifi in the lobby and the public areas (ask for it at the reception).
To sum up a nice hotel to stay at at a reasonable price that I would recommend for families. We would probably return there.
