Owner description: We’ve always been here, on the Chianti slopes of Arezzo, in the land of Tuscany, at Villa La Ripa, a Renaissance villa not far from Florence and Sienna. Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery.

“Side trip became a main attraction”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

My wife and I attended the cooking school at Tuscookany. Which is extraordinary! A part of the cooking school was some very nice excursions. Villa La Ripa was one of the side trips. the passion Saverio Luzzi has for his villa and wine business is something special to witness. We bought two cases of wine to company our italian meals back in Indian Wells, Ca. The wine helps us recall a wonderful time in Tuscany. We feel the experience at Villa la Ripa was why people go back to Italy.

“Canadians love PSYCO!”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

In November 2012, we attended a cooking school in Tuscany near the picturesque town of Arezzo. As part of an excursion day, we toured the family vineyard of Villa La Ripa and met the owner Dr. Saverio Luzzi, a most charming and knowledgeable host.

We purchased a case of Psyco after having the most remarkable tour of Dr. Luzzi’s villa. We had a wonderful experience and we are enjoying our case of wine immensely. As a side note, the first case did not arrive in Canada and Dr. Luzzi graciously sent a second case. Much to our delight it arrived on our doorstep in April.

We donated a bottle to our local Library fund raiser for auction. After our rave review, it garnered great auction bids, especially after hearing about its precipitous journey!

Thank you Dr. Luzzi for your role in ensuring that we will be returning to Villa La Ripa!

Great place. Wonderful host. Superior wine. We were enthralled by our host and the history of the villa. You will miss something of the real Tuscany if you pass this up.

“Amazing place! Great wine! Passionate people!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Wow! This was such a treat. We had a private tour by the owner, who is a neurologist by day... His wife is also a doctor... Smart passionate people! The villa is amazing and they have painstakingly preserved the original building and have marvelous stories to go with. The wine is excellent, and the passion of Luzzi Saverio makes it even better. Their daughter, a pharmacist, makes wonderful skin care products from the grapes and trimmings. Really... This place will amaze. And the ship their wine! So buy some!

“Visit to the beautiful Villa La Ripa near Arezzo”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

I was in Arezzo for an equine veterinary congress and decided to go & visit Villa La Ripa. Dr Saverio Luzzi was most charming & gave me an interesting tour of his wonderful house & wine cellar. It has such an amazing history & has been beautifully restored by Dr Luzzi & his wife. I loved the formal Italian garden beside the villa & the lovely avenue of Italian cypresses up the drive.
I would really like to go back with my husband & do some wine tasting at Villa La Ripa (I have heard it is wonderful wine) when we are in Tuscany again.
Thanks for spending a very pleasant morning with me at the Villa.
