I hadn't been to La Vigna in over a year, but I remembered it quite well for the high quality of its steak. I was thoroughly disappointed on my last visit. Even though our steak was presented as Fiorentina, it was sourced neither from Chianina nor from Maremmana meat (which is misleading, to say the least - especially in Arezzo). Furthermore it was cooked to death, even though we had asked for it very rare. The antipasto toscano and the porcini mushrooms were ok (save for the fried ones: the batter was too thick). We let management know of our issues with the meat, and they were proactive in trying to improve the experience.
La Vigna used to be one of the best places for Fiorentina steak in Arezzo. I hope they will get their act back together.
