I went there with my family in December 2012, during the Christmas period. We ordered some fish dishes, some of them were very good some other so and so. The service was fast but they brought us everything together, so that the table became a bit crowded with dishes. Overall, though, it was a good experience and we will come back.

Just a tiny bit out of the center of Arezzo, you can walk here from anywhere. It is worth it. Best pizza in arezzo, and the service is nice, efficient, and fast. Prices are really good. Atmosphere is casual.

This really is a great little find. The restaurant is squeezed into the long narrow space of a railway sideline just by Arezzo station. It is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. A massive wood oven dominates the dining room and on here are cooked pizzas as well as a whole host of fish dishes.
Family run - from Naples - the dishes are a welcome change to the standard (although excellent) dishes of Tuscany. Portions are huge and the fish all fresh.
Obviously very popular with locals it has been packed every time I've eaten there. Not too many tourists...so discover it yourself.
Service is done with a smile and the waiters are all great to look at too!

The old Vesuvio on Viale Michelangelo is still a favourite with the Aretini. A second location was open for about a year on Via Francesco Redi. The quality of the food and the service there was distinctly higher than on Viale Michelangelo, and it became one of our favourites while it lasted. Now we’re back to reality. The cozze alla marinara we had a few nights ago at the old Vesuvio were mediocre. Apparently the microwave heats unevenly, because some of the cozze in the same bowl were hot, some just right in temperature, and some distinctly cool. None of them were fresh and juicy as cozze should be. We then shared a grigliata mista di pesce, which included two gamberi, one scampo, a small piece of salmon, a small piece of swordfish, and a forlorn little piece of overcooked calamaro. The insalata mista was very good. The service was unbelievable: the grigliata arrived when we were just starting to eat the cozze, and the complimentary frittelle that are normally presented at the beginning of the meal appeared at the end (at least the server admitted that they were “in ritardo”).

We stayed overnight in residence Le Corniole and saw the restaurant beside the residence on arrival. We didn't pay much attention at it as it looked simple, was situated far from tourist ways and impossible to find unless you know where you're going. However, the receptionist recommended it as a good fish restaurant, and still being sceptical we decided to give it a try. In fact, it was quite big and nice looking inside. The food was excellent and the dishes were enormous. We weren't very hungry and ordered one mixed starter that contains bits of all other starters, just to kill time before main course. It was shred between 3 adults, and we were pretty stuffed when waiter came with two more dishes! My steak was 600 g and I could hardly finish it. The dinner for 3 with the starter, main course, desert, bottle of Chianti was EUR 100
