We went to buccia Nera for two weeks in august, 2 adults and two children (9 / 13). The house is very complete, big living room, kitchen and bathroom, even a washing machine is available.
The setting is perfect, nice sunset during BBQ en after dinner hours in front of the house or garden. The swimming pool was good, some insects but daily cleaned.
The weekly visit to the winery was really nice, pleasant tour with explanation about the organic winery. After the tour a nice taste of wine and local specials, even the kids like the tasting with explaining the local food. We could use the home garden vegetables for making salads, the best tomato´s we use ever. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful, they gave use a pleasant stay in Toscane.

Dear Marc, we are happy to know that you and your family enjoyed the stay at Buccia Nera and that you appreciated our organic production. For us organic is a philosophy, a way of life and the flavour of our wines, of our tomatoes and of all the products is the best response and a big satisfaction, especially when it is shared with people like you! When you want to come back Penelope is waiting for you ;)

We were a group of four friends travelling around Tuscany, and fortunately I found this winery while doing some research on the internet. It was a perfect find for many reasons, especially the quality of the wine and the beauty of the environment that the winery was located in.

Buccia Nera winery was also relatively easy to find (and reach) up in the tuscan hills. It is a lovely half hour drive from Arezzo, and a series of useful clear signs lead you to the place.

We only visited the winery for a pleasant afternoon of wine-tasting. The tour of the winery was great and very informative. It is a medium sized winery that takes pride in their organic farming practices. Their professional sommelier gave us a full tour of the place and she was very original in her approach. Furthermore she took her time to explain, gave us time to enjoy the tasting, and was very patient and helpful. They weren't at all bothered by our arriving late for our appointment and there was no rush. They also organized a lovely 'degustazione' of 3 lovely wines and their special vin santo that were perfectly matched with a series of local delicacies such as Truffle sauce, local cheeses and cold cuts as well as a generous helping of bruschette with fresh vegetables from their organic veggie garden onsite.

I had forgotten to inform them that I was gluten intolerant so the lady showing us around was very happy to provide me, there and then, with a bowl full of freshly cut cherry tomatoes with fresh basil and balsamic vinegar and their own olive oil.

We were also able to buy some of their products which made perfect gifts when we returned home.

The setting was perfect, the information very generous and their wine and oil was fantastic.

I will be very happy to return to this place one day (hopefully soon) to try out their accommodation facilities too. It must be a dream to watch the sun set over their vineyards with Arezzo down in the valley below.

Dear Rachel,
thank you very much for your kind words. We are happy that you and your friends enjoyed the tour and the tasting. It was a pleasure to host you and to explain you our philosophy and our winemaking process. Now it's good to see that you liked our products and appreciated our presentation and welcoming. We will be more than happy to host you in our apartment next time you come to Tuscany, so you will enjoy the pool, the sunset and the panorma too for longer time!
We hope wines reached Malta safe and that you will think about us when you drink them!
Take care and study the winebook ;)

We are coming to Buccia Nera every year since 2011. We love it! Apartments are very nice, great swimming pool, nice garden. Good vine, very interesting vine testing. Buccia Nera is located in a part of Tuscany that gives you acces to all parts of this region. Arezzo is beautiful and not so crowded.

Great value for money.

Booking by e-mail worked well with Anastasia.
The apartment Cipresso was clean and spacious for three persons.
The weather in June was really good and the pool was an absolute must. Also, the view down to Arezzo was awesome.
Thanks to Fabiana for the wine-tasting. We liked their wines so much that we ordered 30 bottles to Finland and the delivery went well.
We highly recommend Buccia Nera.

We stayed for 10 days in one of the appartments of Buccia Nera, called Uliva, in a mostly friendly spring weather. We were very well recieved and were adequately helped out when asked. One day we took part in a tasting of wines that are produced there. They have great wines at Buccia Nera.
The house is well equipped, clean and, though rather dark, quite comfortable. During summer it will be nice and cool inside.
The area is not far from the beautiful and interesting towns of Arezzo and Anghiari.

Really well located and stunning views... Simply so. We enjoyed barbeque facilities wine testing surroundings and wines. We liked the authentic surroundingd and flexibility. We will come back for sure....the only negative was: the weather, which was worst in decades. But you couldnt blame that on buccianera :)
