Excellent food, the starters, either uncooked or cooked are a taste sensation. Pasta with butarga and clams best ever, and the calamari grilled with "crumbs" soooo good. Price very reasonable, but not a budget outing!

Really enjoyed this find. A local suggested Alceste; we gave it a shot and were not disappointed. My gnocchi (with shrimp) was great and my wife's anchovy pasta (by her accounts) was delicious. Our mussels were a terrific starter. Great value as well! By all means, check this one out!

A one day trip to Anzio from Rome took us to da Alceste. It was a glorious October day, we had a lovely sea-view table so we ordered the house antipasti selection followed by fritto misto - a veritable fish extravaganza. A good Malvasia / Sauvignon set everything in context. A truly memorable meal.

I went back recently to Alceste with my family. It was an excellent lunch on a sunny spring saturday, better than i recalled. We had insalata di mare, very fresh, gnocchi with mazzancolle e pecorino, very tasty, linguine with red shrimp, delicate taste. We had also fried calamari and paranza small fishes. Good local wine from casale del giglio. Overall good service and very kind waiters. Recommende, you will enjoy better during low season.

We visited the restaurant last Sunday. Managed to get a small table on the balcony overlooking the sea and beach.
The restaurant is very popular, many were waiting for tables, so you either arrive before 1pm or go during the week.
We had mixed fried seafood starter and 2 seafood pasta dishes, all fresh and delicious. If I remember well we paid around 70 euro for two, with a bottle of water and 2 drinks. The service was a bit on the slow side as it was rather busy, but the waiter was very pleasant and friendly.
This is our third visit and we will certainly come back.
