“A little difficult to find but worth it.”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

As the title implies Cascina Giardini is a little difficult to find but that's what makes it so good. It is not on any main road and is in fact 500m from the road going into Alba from the east. There is a little sign pointing up a rather steep drive so don't speed past or you will miss it.

The cascina is very new but it looks like an old farmhouse, the rooms are a nice size with the bathrooms very clean and modern. We managed to look into the apartments (there are 2 or 3 I think) and they also are very nice if you intend to stay a while and cook your own food.

The breakfast room is very open and airy and the selection for breakfast is in keeping with most B and B's in Italy.

Andrea and his mum, Rosa are very friendly and Rosa makes most if not all of the pastries and condiments at breakfast. Plenty of parking is available but beware of the dip on the way up from the main road, it's steep.

Cascina Giardini is in a beautiful location and the views from the rooms of the hills and vineyards makes you really feel that your in your own vineyard.

A car is a must here to get around as the area has some fantastic villages and wineries to visit, Alba is about 7 kilometres away.

It was our first time in Piedmont but we will be back to stay at Cascina Giardini.

Room Tip: The end rooms have access direct to the balcony with table and chairs.

Andrea and his family warmly welcomed us and we instantly felt like at home in this spacious, charming farmhouse. Staying there contributed to make our trip to the Piedmont unforgettable! Andrea is a wine expert and will surely guide you through this outstanding wine region. Not to mention that his mum is an extraordinary cook... So thumbs up for the accommodation and the fantastic welcome and service!

The hills of Alba are some of the most beautiful in the world, and Andrea and his family's B&B is the perfect spot to soak in their beauty. Located in the middle of a hazelnut grove with panoramic views, you can literally watch the nuts being picked and prepared to be made into Nutella! It's a quick drive to Barbaresco/Barolo and some of the world's famous wine regions. Andrea knows many of the producers and can help set you up with visits to wineries. The B&B is comfortable and clean. Andrea's family are the perfect hosts, making you feel like you are part of the family (and his mother is an amazing cook!!). This is the perfect place to get 'away from it all' and to get a taste of local Piemonte life!!

This is the best B&B I could have stayed at during my time in Piedmont, very well located near all the main wine areas, it's really the place if you are looking for an authentic Italian experience at a very good price, beautiful, modern yet classic and comfy, very friendly attentive service, knowledgeable staff, amazing local food cooked by the lovely owners, Andrea and his family, and their wines are just as good as they are winemakers themselves. I'd strongly recommend it to everyone, I'd go back there every time!

My wife and I fell in love with this place and can't wait to go back.
Andrea, our host, and his mother made us feel like family. The place is beautiful with breathtaking views from our window. The rooms are very clean and cozy and the location is superb especially if you plan on visiting wine country. Alba, Barolo and Barbaresco are just a few minutes away.
The breakfast is great with homemade pastries and many other delicious treats.
Ask for dinner recommendations, Andrea knows the best places around.
Probably the best deal in Piemonte. It has been less than a month since we got back and we already miss this place, we will definitely return here on our next visit to Alba.

I've had a fantastic time in Piedmont. Loved it all, the historic castle and buildings, hilly landscapes and nature as a whole, the wine tastings, all my God... the food served at restaurants and my favourite breakfast was at Cascina Giardini... and how could I not mention the smell of chocolate in the air from the Ferrero Rocher Chocolate factory... sublime.

I recommend a great stay at the cosy and modern Cascina Giardini, lovely people are Andrea and his parents there waiting to serve you and be your guide around Piedmont.

Lovely memories

Anderson

Had an amazing experience at this rural hotel, the surroundings are beautiful, right in the middle of the Piemonte region that boasts tradition and winemaking.
My friends and I wanted to stay much longer and before leaving were already planning for the coming back!
Highly recommended.
