“A very pleasant experience”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We just stumbled across this lovely little restaurant just off the main street. 4 of us from Scotland.
We all tried something different and everyone was delighted with there choices, so much so, at the end of our meal a pasta dish with truffles passed us by which looked so good that we had to order it also. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient, so all in all, worth the trouble to look out for and put on your "to do" list when in Alba.

“Lovely spot away from the crowds”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We happened upon Vigin Mudest and were glad we did. It's in a lovely little piazza away from the crowds. We had looked at one of the restaurants in the main piazza and they wanted 23 euros for mushroom risotto and paid 8.
We had a very warm welcome from the waiter who both accommodated our English-speaking guests and humored my attempts to speak Italian. Food and service were very good. Ambience was pleasant. The menu is full of typical Piemontese dishes, from bagna cauda to tajarin pasta to cinghiale (wild boar), which one of our party enjoyed with polenta.
Definitely recommend.

“Simple local Piemontese cuisine”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

This lovely little place is a favourite of ours. In a quiet little piazza away from the main traps of Alba it serves tradutional local food. Simple. Not fancy and very reasonably priced for this town. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and good service. What's not to like?

“Excellent dining, great service!”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

My husband and I just visited Alba for some wine tasting. We were early for our hotel check-in and this restaurant was right in front. First, the people who work there are delightful. Second, it was the best pasta we had in Alba, so good that we returned for dinner. The prices are reasonable and the wine list one of the best around. We also ate at La Piola, the sister restaurant of Piazza Duomo, which was also very good and a restaurant in Barbaresco but the pasta here was better cooked and seasoned. We highly recommend stopping here in your travels.

“Authentic Piedmontese Cusine”

Great spot for real deal cuisine of Piedmont. Homemad Tajarin pasta with uvoli (mushrooms) is a must when in season. Good wine list.
