“dishonest/misleading/overpriced”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Last saturday in the middle of truflle season at lunch time,a group of 8 of us ordered the white truffle pasta (tajarin) which after asking, were told was on average 50 eur per dish.
they then shaved a lot of truffle on our dishes without warning us of the price increase.
The truffle was of poor quality but amounted to1 200 euros for the truffle only.
After having complained we were given a discount of 200 euros which just proved that the bill was an estimate. We also had issues with service, management and corked wine. We felt cheated and ripped off.

“Lunch in heaven!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Truffle season in Alba - what more can you say, basic two courses, fried eggs and pasta both with freshly shaved truffles, weighed and shaved at your table.....expensive lunch but oh so worth it, and with a glass or Barolo...yummy....you only live once!

Service very good, atmosphere, busy but not too noisy. Regular dishes very reasonably priced.

“Looks can be deceiving.”

We ate here based in TripAdvisor feedback, but not what we expected. Food was average service was subpar. we sat down and everything seemed rushed, when it ae to asking for more water it was like pulling teeth. the food came out quick yay felt rushed. We didn't care and took our time the way it was meant we noticed that other tables close to us here leaving before us. It was be after the hour. our dinner based But 1 and a half. the food tasted like it was made in an assembly line kite a cafeteria. Truly disappointing. truly a destination for people in a hurry who don't mind what they eat.

“You'd be crazy to miss this.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Fabulous, fabulous lunch. Recommended to us by locals and travelers alike, we enjoyed a wonderfully busy, crazy, chaotic lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Mostly Italians (a very good sign). Small selection of courses, all great quality. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Eat here - you will not regret it. Reservations a must.
