If you want to visit the Barolo region - Casa Ressia is in a perfect location to do so. It is easily reached from Alba and is a short drive to all of the primary wine zones in the area. Our host, Allesandro, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke very good English. He recommended several excellent towns, restaurants and sites to visit. Our first night out we visited a recommended restaurant in Alba - which we thoroughly enjoyed - and was greeted by Allesandro when we returned late in the evening with a glass of Grappa. Fantastic! Every morning for breakfast, we were treated to Allesandro's special delicious unbelievable cakes - along with a very substantial spread of typical regional cuisine (meats, cheeses, jams, breads). Worth the visit just for his cakes! When we visit this region next - we will be sure to stay at Casa Ressia!!
