We stayed here on a family trip to Sicily and Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, which was one of the highlights of the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa, and the owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Delicious breakfast!

Villa Diana was the perfect choice for the start of our Sicilian holiday. The villa is beautiful and elegant with modern spacious accommodation and lovely rural views. Breakfasts served on the terrace were sumptious and full of surprises thanks to the culinary skills of our host Dario. A more helpful and kind host you could not wish to meet and all his helpful tips of places to see and restaurants to use made our visit perfect.

We spent 3 nights at Villa Diana and wished we could have spent more. A delightful house with a gracious, helpful and considerate host in Dario. Breakfast on the terrace was a real pleasure with plenty of choice, and in our case, a daily breakfast Sicilian 'special'. Set amongst olive groves with lovely views and near to Agrigento, we had a really lovely stay. The room was huge, well presented and with every mod con. Hope to return.

Villa Diana is a beautiful home overlooking Agrigento ... you can see the sea from the breakfast terrace ... my room was elegant and huge! I enjoyed 4 days here, each starting with a delicious Sicilian breakfast complete with cannoli ... the location is convenient to the Greek temples, ancient history museum and the birthplace of Luigi Pirandello ... all very worthwhile! Dario loves hosting and is excellent at it!

This place is just outside Agrigento- about 6km- but very convenient for the Valley of the Temples and easy to find (Dario sent us very accurate and foolproof instructions!)

The property is off the S122 and is gated with an intercom to enter so it felt quite secure.Plenty of parking within the property as well.

The room was large with a wraparound balcony. There is good wifi, satelite tv and a fridge in the room. The views from the balcony are of olive trees and Agrigento in the distance. Dario also served us some coffee & biscuits which we enjoyed on our balcony.

There are no restaurants within walking distance but we drove 5 minutes to Favara to have pizza and pastries- Dario recommended some in Agrigento as well. It's easy to drive to both from the property.

Breakfast was served downstairs on the terrace - you can eat inside if you prefer. There was plenty of food and lots of choice- even cannoli which I requested when booking as I read someone else had tried it- plus he let us try some of his own olive oil.

Dario was very kind and helpful. He made our stay very relaxing.

He also hs two cute dogs which we enjoyed playing with as well as keeping some goats.

Unfortunately we only stayed a night- we should have stayed a bit longer as it is a good base for other sights. We would return if in the area.

Thanks Dario.

Dario, owner and host, has made the Villa Diana a jewel. He is a kind and caring gentleman whose artistic sense permeates the elegant space. The photos do not do it justice. Our room was very large , immaculate and equipped with every convenience to make our all-too-short stay perfect. The spacious red- tiled bathroom had a tub and shower and again every convenience. The care with which every item was arranged made us feel quite pampered. Our room had large doors that afforded a stunning view of the countryside, olive trees, mountains and resident goats, sheep and donkeys...a view shared from the smaller bathroom window and the wrap- around terrace where large and comfortable basket chairs, table and even a clothes drying rack could be found.

The breakfast room was magnificent and the fare exceptional...fresh orange juice, eggs cooked to order, home made cannoli(!!!!) plus a large selection of breads, cheese ,cakes etc. When we expressed an interest in the Villa's olive groves, Dario treated us with a conversation about olives and then brought us toasted home-made bread brushed with oil from his trees. When we proved enamoured of the sheep etc, he brought us to the corrals to meet them. Dario was proud to share the many interesting facts associated with the property and the area around Agrigento.
Dario was passionate about making our stay perfect and definitely succeeded. We are sorry we only stayed one night. It is in an excellent location for visiting the Valley of Temples but a car is necessary. Be sure to follow Dario's GPS instructions using coordinates. You will be brought directly to the gate where Dario will be there to greet you.

We stayed at Villa Diana for three nights in May, and upon arrival decided we had made a very good choice. The house interior is striking, even when you have previewed the photos. Our room and en-suite was very spacious and immaculate, with a huge balcony area overlooking countryside, in a very peaceful location. Dario was an attentive host, guiding us to the elevator when we brought our luggage in, serving us Tea on our balcony one afternoon when we returned early, and recommending local places to visit, including Restaraunt Kokalos. Dario served an excellent breakfast - juice, cereals, yoghurt, bread (with jam or Villa Diana honey to go with it), croissants or if you are lucky you may get to try his home made cannoli. We were also invited to try goats milk one morning, which was a good experience.

Room Tip: As far as I could see, each room has a corner position, and a balcony that spans two sides, so it is...
