A very warm welcome, helpful and friendly staff. Food was good and plentiful. Rooms where clean and comfortable. Lovely grounds and an amazing outdoor pool.

Cons: noisy air conditioner unit with blue light. Difficulty in sleeping because of the noise. Hotel was tired in some places, but it is being dealt with.

Saying this I would definitely stay there again.

There are some nice things, the pool is particularly good, the staff pleasant and the rooms very clean. The hotel feels utilitarian, the rooms are well laid out but lack any feeling of luxury.
My wife was more critical than myself saying that the dining room was like a holiday camp and she hated the cheap plastic ‘glasses’ provided in the bathroom,
Don’t come here with great expectations it’s just ordinary.

Like others who have reviewed this hotel we stayed here as part of Riviera Travel's Classic Sicily Tour.

After reading earlier reviews we were slightly dubious, but have to say that we had a very pleasant stay here.

The hotel complex is huge and there is actually a lot of unused space. As it was in the process of undergoing a full refurbishment it at the time of writing, it was rather hit and miss as to the type of room our party got. We were in one of the older rooms, and whilst perfectly adequate was lacking in some areas. The shower was a bit of a museum piece, very small with plastic concertina doors. it had an insufficient number of outlet plugs for your phone chargers, hair straighteners etc. And the WiFi was poor. However I expect all of these things will be sorted out in due course.

The swimming pool and the surrounding areas are fantastic. You can hire towels at reception for 2 Euros.

As part of the tour we ate at the hotel on two nights. We were prepared for sub standard fare after hearing what others had said but were pleasantly surprised. Although certainly not fine dining what we were presented with was pretty good. Breakfasts were the usual buffet standard that one now has become accustomed to, so no problems there. The bar area is quite nice although they need more seating and for a hotel bar prices not too steep either.

We enjoyed our stay at Kaos and I am sure that once the refurbishments are complete this will be a very good hotel.

Room Tip: Floor 1 is the only one not accessible by lift.

On paper, this hotel has it all to be an excellent destination. It is located near Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, although you need a car (or shuttle) to go anywhere. It has extensive grounds, gardens, tennis courts, huge swimming pool, restaurant, good view, etc. Unfortunately it is very poorly maintained. Our room was old fashion style, the shower doors were not easy to open, air conditioning system was old. The hotel clearly needs some drastic refurbishing. It seems it was recently acquired from a hotel group, so let's hope this brings some fresh air in the near future.

Popular with tour groups. Nothing in the immediate vicinity, but the restaurant does sufficient breakfast and dinner and the bar staff are friendly. Huge pool area, it's the main attraction really. Chances are, if you're staying here you will be touring, one or two nights maximum.
