Description: Posted in Heritage archaeologists in the Valley of the Temples the structure is a mix of restaurant and bar in continuous evolution works to keep the appearance of decorum asking this famous valley in the world. A small staircase gives access to the structure that sees a gazebo with outdoor tables and view on the ruins of the Temples. Entering the gateway you are stuck with the bar staff ready to run your dupes. On the left there is also a small tobacconists, while passing the second door there is an internal room with pizzeria and restaurant. Before the one on the right scale door takes you into another indoor room where it is served a drink, breakfast and where you can also consume dinners or group meals. From the second dining room there is access to the kitchen (reserved for staff only) and with a ladder you can reach another balcony, for a breakfast / aperitif / lunch or dinner very romantic. The bakery is a staple of this structure, typical of the Sicilian tradition that gets in the race the delicious courses of our Chef

“Great alternative to overpriced tourist traps!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Agrigento for two nights in September. The first night we had an indifferent meal in the hotel so the second night we decided to try La Promenade dei Tempi. We sat in a pleasant inner courtyard and enjoyed a lovely meal that was reasonably priced compared with other restaurants in the area. The owner was charming and friendly and we had a really enjoyable evening. We were so impressed we returned the next morning to pick up some panini for our lunch. These were delicious and our only regret was that we had wasted money on some vile pieces of pizza in a bar/ restaurant opposite the Temple entrance for lunch on our first day. Don't be put off by the exterior of La Promenade - it is well worth a visit.

“Poor value for money - or "They saw us coming"”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

This restuarant is well-located: at a crossroads near the Templi. We went between meal times and were the only paying customers (there appeared to be some family there). We ordered from the glass counter a spoon of this and that (rice, frittata, dumplings - nothing with meat), not noticing there were no prices marked. Somehow, with a coke, a water, a coffee, this became a 37 euro meal at what was essentially a cafeteria. We had a very similar meal, of similar quality, for about 16 euros two days later in Valderice.

the food was not bad, a bit oily, but we were shocked by the price and the coperto added in what was essentially a cafeteria. I guess every trip has to have one meal like this

“The Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2011

The best - we cannot recommend the place more highly.
This restaurant was close to the hotel we stayed at during our holiday, and we had three or four evening meals and a breakfast there. Its a warren of rooms and terraces. The bits we saw were a few tables outside looking over the road to the temples, a shop area with a big food counter, a courtyard with tables and a pizza oven, and a kitchen behind this. I think there is another dining room we didn’t see.The pizza’s were the best of the holiday. The pasta, risotto, antipasta, sweets and chocolate ice cream were equally good. My wife loved the shrimp and rocket risotto, the house red was extremely good....The staff were really friendly, the lady managing the place was lovely with our son, spoiling him with chocolate ice cream.
