We stayed two nights in February at this B&B in the old part of Agrigento, when the weather was sunny but cold. The bedroom and shower room were clean and attractively furnished, the bed was comfortable, the heating worked and there was a wonderful view of the sea and the Valley of Temples a few miles away. There was an adjoining warm and cosy sitting room (shared with the guests in the other en-suite room) containing delightful furnishings and pictures. This room gave onto a small private terrace where it would be pleasant to sit in warmer weather. The breakfast was served in a corner of the sitting room and was good. Alfonso the young owner was welcoming and friendly, extremely helpful, and a mine of useful and interesting local information. He even found a parking space nearby and parked our car for us. He takes a lot of trouble to provide an enjoyable stay for his guests, without being intrusive, and deserves to do well.

The best b&b in Agrigento. We absolutely LOVED our stay here and would like to thank the fabulous owner Alfonso for all of his help and advice during and indeed prior to our visit. We walked from the train station, only 15 minutes stroll, quite simple and easy to find with Alfonso's excellent directions. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delicious espresso and biscuits, whilst Alfonso checked us in, or more like greeted and welcomed us, whilst giving us the lowdown and all of the information we would need for our stay in the town. After this, we went up to the 11th floor by lift to the suite that we had booked. WOW! Such a special place. The huge windows and good sized balcony looks over the sea, Valley of the Temples and the beautiful Sicilian countryside (as well as a main road, that looks like a scalextric at night! The room itself is amazing: so large with a cosy sofa and good sized tv, an amazingly comfortable bed and huge bathroom with a decent shower. Breakfast: what can we say! Incredible. Always delicious and Alfonso treats you like a celebrity bringing it to your room for you to enjoy at your leisure. Delicious pastries, cereals and yogurt, fruit, juices, coffee - mmmm I miss it already! We will come back to Agrigento just to stay here again: seriously, it's fabulous. Alfonso, we look forward to seeing you again, keep doing what you're doing: the Italian Cinderella who we are sure will find his princess one day! Thank you so much for such a great stay. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Go for the suite: so amazing!

I traveled around Sicily for 15 days, and although I stayed in 'La Casa di El' for only 1 night, it was the most satisfying one among all the top-ranked B&Bs of Siclily in tripadvisor.
Firstly, the location.
It's easy to access and close from the station and the more important thing and what makes the owner, Alfonso proud of his B&B, is the fantastic panoramic view of Valley of temple and the sea from the room on 11th floor!!
When you arrive in this B&B, Alfonso would explain how to go where to visit, any recommendable good restaurants, and etc with a map in a cozy living room on 4th floor. And he stops explaining in the middle. Now you will move to your reserved room on 11th floor and get more informations about Valley of temple, watching the amazing panoramic view of that from your room! And of course you can enjoy this view late at night, early in the morning and particularly when you have breakfast in your room.

Secondly, best quality of bed & breakfast.
Definitely, good B&B requires good and clean bed and facilities & good breakfast. The bed, room and especially the bathroom are impeccably clean and spacious. And the breakfast is fantastic!!! You can enjoy the feast of breakfast including various kinds of fresh bread, juice, home-mad jam, and coffee with Alfonso's sweet treat as if you were one of royal family in your room!

Lastly, the owner, Alfonso.
Alfonso gives you all the useful tips about traveling Agrigento and the more important thing is that he really cares about what makes you satisfied and comfortable from when you arrive at to when you leave his B&B.

I enjoyed traveling around Sicily very much and consider visiting Sicily again. At that time, I will change my itinerary but I will include Agrigento again and stay at the same room in La casa di El. 'Just in order to stay in La casa di El' is a good reason enough to visit Agrigento again!!!

We stayed two nights in September at La Cas di El and the owner manager Alfonso made our stay more like at a friend's house than just another room.Fro our initial arrival Alfonso was there to help with parking and luggage. Then he showed us the neighborhood places. The view of the Valley of the Temples was as good as it gets and whoever heard of a piano in your B&B room.
Breakfasts were enormous and included 5 types of juices and mother's homemade jam. One day we had many types of pastries and cereal along with fruit. The next was a hot breakfast.I would go out of my way if I returned to Sicily just to stay at this B&B. It is difficult to find and is in the old city of windig streets and the GPS gets you close but not there. It is worth the time getting lost once you arrive.

When we arrived inthe late evening we were looking for a nice place to stay for the night and a good hint for a decent restaurant. Both our needs were met when we chose Alfonzos B&B. He not only helped us to find a free parking spot but spontaniously showed us around and told us the way to one of his favorite restaurants. The room was very nice and had many lovely details you would not find in any other hotel. Best thing after waking up was the magnificent breakfast with lots of rolls, cerials, juices and handmade jams. See you next time Alfono!

Alfonzo met me at the bus station, drove me to his home and proceded to make me feel like I was a very important person during my entire visit. Recomending what to see, where to eat and paying attention to every detail. If I ever come back to Agrigento I will most certainly stay here.
