“Helpful host in the heart of the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012

We stayed for 2 nights in this B&B and it was perfect for our needs. Alfonso is an incredible host and is extremely helpful and obliging. The breakfast is amazing and ensures your don't need to eat for the rest of the day!

Agrigento is an interesting city to explore and the B&B is very well located for this. It also has views across to the Valle dei Templi - which is only a 10 minute drive away.

A wonderful and well located B and B ! A truly incredible view from the small patio out towards the Valley of the Temples and the coast. A quiet, intimate and very personal apartment. The host is full of useful tips and is himself a wonderful advert for the friendliness of Sicilians. It is idaeely located for the Via Atenea (main street)and walking/shopping but with easy vehicle access from Via Empodocle. We always managed to find somewhere to park. Great breakfast including home made jams. Fantastic experience.

The B&B is located right in the historic center of Agrigento. Despite the central location you can find parks (also the host is very helpful with that) if you just take it easy and don't stress (you shouldn't stress anyway, you're on holiday^^). There's lots of free parking around the B&B. The shopping area with restaurants is just around the corner.
The host is brilliant. He speaks English and is very helpful. He gives you some great recommendations and good tips when to do what and how to get there.
The breakfast is delicious and very rich with local specialities and homemade jams. From the breakfast terrace you have fantastic views of the Valley of the Temples and the big blue sea :)

Lovely stay - would definitely recommend this place :)

My wife and I stayed one night in Agrigento. Casa di El is well located in the historic center and easy to reach on a street leading beyond the train station. The exterior of this multi story apartment building is not attractive, but the two private rooms and public space of the B and B make up for that. Alphonso was a very good host and made us feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic, with great pastries. His mother made the jam. His English is good and he is very helpful. We had a room with a private but not en suite bath just three steps from our door. Our room as well as the breakfast terrace had fantastic views of the Valley of the Temples. Alphonoso gave us good recommendations as to what to see and where to eat in the city. He also directed me to a car repair location for some minor work. He even helped park my car in a tight space on a slope. Good place to spend a night.

After having a little bit of difficulty in finding it we were pleasantly surprised to find a 2 bedroom apartment. Alfonso was very helpful in planning our visit to the sites in Agrigento. The location is great and we even had a patio with a view of the temples.

Our stay at Casa de El was great: Alfonso was so informative and helpful. Be sure to follow his recommendations. The B and B is charming and the rooms have a sweeping sea view. We were concerned about street noise since the windows face a busy street but the shutters blocked it out, and it was blissfully quiet at night. Breakfast was beyond expectations, including homemade jam including kiwi-banana (!) and some awesome pastries. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms and we had the one with the ensuite bathroom. The other room has a private b...
