“Worth the effort”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

After hours visiting the Valley of the Temples it is worth the energy to take in this extraordinary garden, run by FAI, the Italian equivalent of the National Trust, whose members are admitted free. It is set in a dip in the land, like a small crater, and has many unusual plants. Something completely different and would be fascinating to keen gardeners.

“Splendid garden”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

It is a nice break to walk through this nice, cool and well maintained garden after visinting all the ruins in the heat. Entrance 4,-€ for non sicilians (they pay 2,- €).

“A change from temples”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

It was pleasant to walk in olive, lemon, orange and mandarin groves and see the different kinds of flora indigenous to Sicily. It's certainly not a formal ornamental garden, not quite a botanical garden, but after a full day of temple-visiting, this rests the eye. The woman who tends the stand and offers fresh orange juice is very pleasant.
