This is an easy drive from Genoa airport less than 45 minutes. The drive up to the property is breath taking with fruit trees and a rose garden on the way up and a car port to park your car.
I stayed on the top floor which had views across the vineyards. Fully equipped with a kitchen and all the mod-cons you need, better equipped than my own kitchen at home I might add! Comfortable beds and EXTRA large rooms. A stove was also lit up which was extra cosy for light reading or watching a movie in the evening.
Trips were booked with the owner to visit local vineyards to taste the wines and prosecco, each place was friendly, educational and laid on lovely snacks which were welcome after the intense walks!
We were also booked in to the local spa and experienced the Percorso which involved a day of dipping and lolling about and being pampered and massaged and enjoying the natural thermal springs, this is a must do when in Acqui.
The local shops are a short walk away (15 minutes) and there are also flea markets and great places to stop and have lunch and dinner in the town. If you are a foodie the food markets are a must a riot of colour and tasters of cheese and meats with great opportunities to take really good photographs.
We were also entertained on the terrace with freshly made pizzas in the external oven which was fantastic and rosemary bread! Yummy.
We visited the local designer outlet driving to Seravalle McArthur Glen Designer Outlet [one cannot do Italy and not shop!], this is chock full of all the designer stores like Burberry, Armani, Gucci, Prada, Moncler, Michael Kors, Tods, Nike to name a few. I managed to pick up amazing leather boots by Chloe for less than 70% of the original retail price.
The stay her was great, relaxing and full of things to do and places to visit. Definitely going back for a return visit.
