Description: The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food. And if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more!

Had lunch outside on a lovely sunny day last week. My crab sandwich was lovely, served with crisps and salad garnish. Others had burger, cheese sandwiches and everyone liked their food. Reasonably priced, didn't wait very long - enjoyed our visit and will go again.

My wife and I went to the Rashleigh mid July one evening and as it's a popular place and we couldn't find a table outside and the weather was too nice to eat inside. We were so taken with the pub and it's surroundings that we returned a little earlier the next evening and found a table in the beer garden. We had our dog with us, as did other customers, and the beer garden is a popular choice.
Set against the background of historic Charlestown, the pub itself has a historic feel to it from the outside, but on the inside it is quite modern but comfortable.
There are a good choice of local beers on draft and a good looking choice of bottled beers and the wine list is ok too.
The food menu has a good range of choices and there looked to be a range of medium and large meals. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar - don't forget to pick up your cutlery and sauces as they aren't brought to your table.
The food arrived promptly and was tasty and a good sized portion. My only comment would be that my chips were cold as they are served in a pretentious little "chip frying basket" which only served to cool them down quickly.
That aside, the pub, the beer, the location and the ambience, along with being dog friendly, assures that we will return.

We have been to the Rashleigh for a meal many times. Whilst the food was ok, it was nothing special & the restaurant very dated. Well what a surprise we got when we ate there prior to the Charlestown Regatta on Saturday. The place had been refurbished & is not light, bright & modern. The menu was slightly different but, when our meal arrived the presentation was totally different. We had lasagne, it arrived in a small dish on a platter with chips, salad & garlic bread. It was piping hot & delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it & would recommend the Rashleigh to anyone wanting a wholesome meal.
