Description: The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food. And if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more!

Very friendly bar staff, St Austell beer + Betty Stoggs!! Food is always excellent (try the fish pie!!). Also, it is just up the road from the Tall Ships.

“Good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Eaten here many times and the food is always very good. The sunday carvary is a must and plenty to choose from. There is something for everyone on the menue. The service is first class and hard to beat. The dining area is comfortable and has plenty of room. The pub is owned by St Austell Brewery and they have high standards as with all their establishments. It is a few yards from the Charlestown harbour and the tall ships. The car park is fairly large but is very "cobbled* so watch your footing.
In the summer season it is best to book, certainly for Sunday lunch. They have a website if you need more information.

“Mussells again!!!”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

Although stayed in the Pier House Hotel couldn't resist the temptation for a large bowl of mussells, chips and bread, washed down with some excellent beer and wine. As always the Rashleigh comes out in front.

“Busy Pub, great food”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

We didn't book for Saturday lunch, so had to wait, but staff looked after us. It is a lively family dining area, so there are likely to be kids, but despite being full the service was fast, and the food was amazing- really unexpected. I had the goats cheese and pear salad- stunning, and my wife had a hot pork and apple chiabatta with salad, and my mum who is quite elderly and doesn't like big meals, had the option of small meals - not kiddies meals, but small portions. Great idea.
