We stayed at Mona's Cottage in the summer of 2017, as a family of three. It's a great cottage right in the heart of Charlestown. The cottage is just behind the Shipwreck museum and a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. It has three bedrooms and a downstairs bathroom. There is a living room and a dining room and was very spacious and clean. Outside is a small courtyard which gets the sun, and a small garden with a sea view from the top. An outbuilding has a freezer. The kitchen has everything you could need for a self-catering stay. Parking is outside the cottage and there is wifi.
We loved the cottage, the owner was really friendly and helpful when we booked the cottage and when she greeted us on arrival. Charlestown is a quaint village which has a couple of good pubs where we ate and some small shops. We liked the little cabin which sells ice cream and cakes.
St Austell is fairly close and there is a Tesco and local shops less than 10 minutes drive away.
Would recommend the cottage to anyone looking to stay in Charlestown.
A beautiful cosy cottage with a sea view from the upstairs bedroom windows. Fantastic harbour, with plenty of places to eat and drink. Live music in the harbour side pub most weekends...loved the place
