Just spent two hours here.
What a fabulous little place it is.
Well run and spotlessly clean.
Lovely flowers displays and well done miniature displays of ‘all sorts’...
Reasonably priced
A nice little souvenir shop which was not too expensive.
Nice friendly, helpful staff and owners.
Motorised scooters are available for the less physically capable.
$2 train rides, if paying on entry or $3 at the ‘station’

Better for kids than Hunter Gardens.

The owner/operators should be VERY proud.....

This is a great place for young and old. Beautiful scenery with so much detail in the miniature buildings. A must do when in Canberra.

As a horticulturist I was disappointed in the overall gardens quality but the model towns and scenes from around the world were of high quality. It cost a bit to enter when you can see the whole garden in half an hour or so.

Hi nosurf,

Sorry to hear that you didn't take the time to really enjoy all the details that have been put into our displays, we and many others recommend a minimum of 1-1 1/2hrs to truly see the details of both the floral displays & the miniature building displays.

Kind Regards

Everthing is in miniature including a steam train which you can ride on that circles the park. The display is in pristine condition and includes an International display that has been sponsored by different countries.
This is a great display for all ages and is worthy of the $19 entry fee for adults. Family passes are available and the area is wheel chair friendly.
You could spend 3 hours there with so much to see. The train ride is $3 per person and you pay the driver.

Hi peteozi,

Glad you enjoyed our display, it is easy to spend hours meandering through and taking in all the detail. Yes there are a selection of family entries to purchase, depending on what you are after. Our value packs includes steam train rides and discount vouchers, excellent value for all. You can pre-purchase steam train rides at the entry as well as at the train station.

We had a nice visit to Cockington Green. I visited with 2 x 3 years olds and they only found interest in the train ride. Too little to understand that they can’t touch or interact with the displays. I’d recommend it for families with older children considering the price to enter as a family where you run the risk of younger children having no interest and spending the whole time managing their behaviour (which we saw many other families doing when trying to stop their young children from walking into the display areas).

Hi laura3B,

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Our littlest visitors can be busy, they often enjoy our fairy garden at the beginning of the display, then a stop in the playground to burn of that excess energy and as yours did a train ride.

Many Thanks
