This was our first trip to Dubrovnik and we stayed at the Radisson Blu Sun Gardens. My husband and I wanted to stay at one of the villas so that we could have the option of eating in some days. There is a small grocery store within the residences so you are able to get what you need for your stay. Also, we got to use all of the facilities that the guest of the hotel were able to use (pools, tennis courts, etc.) We did not rent a car and took the hotel shuttle that goes to old town Dubrovnik when we wanted to. You also can take the shuttle boat to go to old town which was a fun alternative. The bus shuttle is 5 euro each way and the boat is 10 euro each way. It only takes 20 minutes by the bus shuttle. The hotel also has about 6 restaurants where you can eat as well. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it. It is right on the Adriatic and has beautiful views.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week in June after getting it at a reduced rate. First impressions were excellent, the hotel is in a beautiful location and was immaculate inside. The room was large and the interior was of a really high standard. Reception and check in were pretty straightforward and the staff were helpful. We were on the 1st floor and had a balcony with great views of the sea and surrounding area. The first day we were there we had gone out to explore and when we came back the room door was open. We were obviously immediately worried and thinking it had been broken into. However on inspection of the mini bar it had been re-stocked and after checking with housekeeping the maid had been in but had not closed the door properly!! This was annoying and thankfully no one had come in whilst it had been open and taken anything. They did not even apologise but just made us check nothing had been taken and said they would tell the maid. The problem is that the doors were not self closing like most hotel doors are, you had to really pull them shut which is obviously a problem if the maid doesn't check this when leaving your room! Despite that problem the resort is really nice and in a beautiful (if not remote) location though we did not mind this. The beach is pebbly but the water is very clean and clear. It was just the start of the season when we were there and the resort was not very busy. There is a few restaurants on site, however they were pretty quiet at night (and even less so during the day) and if you were there for 2 weeks you would definitely struggle for different food each night as we repeated a few and were just there for a week. We went to Dubrovnik a couple of times which is lovely and great to stroll around and have a change of scene. It was about 15 mins in a taxi from the hotel to Dubrovnik and about 20-25 euro. If you like to be in the midst of the action then this isn't for you but if you were looking for a quiet relaxing time in a great location then I would definitely recommed this resort. Our only main complaint, and we have stayed in a number of much busier 5 star resorts, is that the wait staff at breakfast time were very unorganised and it was definitely not 5 star service. There was no order at breakfast, on our first day we just came in and sat down as no one was there to guide you, no one came to offer tea or coffee, we had to ask a number of times and they looked as if this was a major inconvenience. The food was constantly running out and not being re-filled, there was no bread, hardly any hot food and no milk for a long time on one morning. This really let the hotel down in our opinion and if it was more organised then we would have awarded 5 stars.

Stayed for a surprise birthday weekend away and couldn't have been happier. The hotel itself is lovely and caters for all, the staff can't do enough for you (concierge excellent, personal touches like champagne and cake in the room on arrival) and the food is good (steak restaurant superb) location is breathtaking and not too out of the way. Rooms large and spotless. Would recommend and visit again.

I think ths is one of the best designed rooms Ive ever stayed in. Storage galore, see thru shower, large balcony with beautiful sea views (room 115) There was plenty of room to stow everything away so NO mess. I hate living out of my suitcase. Food was good even if perhaps a little small on the portion size. Service was excellent.....The staff really make you feel welcome. Spa was gorgeous but the spa treatments somewhat average (could have been a bad week???)
Overall definitely worth the money. Tip...Pay the extra at least once for breakfast on the upper terrace.........Oysters from Ston and Champagne.....Fabuloso

I found the offers in the city center of Dubronvik expensive comparing to the quality and space. The city center is nice to visit but we prefered a calmer spot to stay.

In Radisson Blu Resort we got what we paid for: nice view, professional staff, good service.

Gettig there : You need a car to access cause the hotel is around 10 m of drive out of Dubrovnik. But they also have shuttles (we didn't take).

The breakfast was good. The outdoor pool is great. The spa includes an inside pool, whirpool and saunas.

Good for couples, business trips or with family.
