As a family with two adults and two teenagers (boy and girl) finding a holiday destination that ticks everybodies boxes is not easy, but the Radisson at Dubrovnik succeeded. We stayed in a two bed residence which was first class in terms of quality and cleanliness and with a fantastic seaview. On site facilities were great whether it be shops, restaurants (which cater for most tastes and budgets) watersports, options for trips to the adjoining Islands or into Dubrovnik and beyond, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic sports centre and free spa (you only pay for treatments.

Niggles...minor ones would be the lack of a sandy beach and the absence of other facilities of note nearby but various options exist for access to Dubrovnik whether by boat taxi or bus from the main Dubrovnik - Split road which runs past the complex with bus stops close by. I suppose prices in the bars and restaurants are above what you would pay if there were more choice close to hand but the bill at the end of the 10 days was less than I had feared.

Would we visit again? most certainly.

Room Tip: If seeking a residence for privacy go for Block 7

If you read most of the reviews on here, there are fairly accurate,. Take a cross section. It is a lovely hotel in a great setting. We couldn't see the sea from out apartment but I personally didn't really care. I could look at it all day! There is an emphasis on relaxing. I loved the relaxer chairs and big beds all over the gardens, outside the spa and on the way down to the beach. The sea is beautiful and there are steps down into the water. The apartment was super and very clean- great maid service. The hotel supermarket was pretty good- we drove into Dubrovnik to the larger branch and tbh there was more choice and I think it was cheaper but not the high quality luxury stuff we're used to from Waitrose & Sainsbury. The sports hall is excellent but hardly used- my daughter went on the climbing wall and the staff were great. We did not use the kids club- the children were happy in the pool. It would have been nice to have some hotel organised children's activities by a specific pool - even if it was just for an hour so so a day. There was a band by a pool at night but like someone else said- it isn't advertised.
My big moan is the food. 1. the prices 2 The quality 3. The reaction to my feedback BEFORE we left.
1. We ate at The Fish restaurant, the Butchers (meat) restaurant & the green (Citronesse?) restaurant. The last one was the best of the three and in a lovely setting. It was OK. The Fish & Meat were both VERY expensive and in the meat we were recommended a bottle of wine which turned out to be £50 and was nothing special. Most meals cost £150-£190 for two adults and 1 child with no deserts. I gave some feedback about my opinion to the reception staff who recommended the a la carte restaurant in tthe hotel but when we looked at the menu later, it was EVEN MORE expensive and the choice limited. We don't mind paying for good food but it wasn't worth anything like what they are charging. To be honest, I was complaining quite strongly and really would have expected the offer of something to placate me- even if it was a bottle of wine. Not the case. NOT even any follow up. It was actually quite hard to even work out WHO to complain to. Our bill for 4 meals in the hotel, drinks and a couple of light lunches was £657.

Room Tip: If you don't like/can't climb steps specify a room on the lower terraces. There are a LOT of...

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We've stayed at the apartment complex with a beautiful breathtaking view. Amenities were good, staff helpful especially our housekeeping team. One of them spoke excellent English, which pleasantly surprised us.
The apartment was very clean, towels and bedding changed daily, the only downside was that the building did not have a lift for the lower floors and we had to carry a push chair up and down the stairs every day.
We loved our stay at this hotel and will be coming back in the future. Would definitely recommend it.

A very pleasant stay in this excellent hotel. A very clean hotel, there was always someone cleaning. The lady at the reception was polite and a man lead us to our apartment. The apartment was spacious and beautifully layed out, I loved the kitchen.
The spa was the best spa in a hotel I've ever been to, it had multiple facilities, it was clean and again here too there was always someone cleaning the floor so that you didn't slip on the water.
The sea was extremely clean( I found a star fish). The only problem was that there were tractors working on the beach, I think that they were repairing the beach.
During our stay it rained A fair bit so we decided to watch a movie, the vidio on command was great, it had many movies to choose from;however there was one big problem, when we were choosing what movie to watch we came across this "adult entertainment" we pressed ok thinking that this would give us movies for adults but instead it gave us this pornographic program… I went to the reception and told them to cancel the porn and they did so kindly. I would strongly recomend to have some sort of block up before entering the porn saying that you are about to watch porn and have sone sort of password to Access it.

The hotel allso had free wifi everywhere, this is a big highlight as Many hotels don't have this.

I am hoping to come back and visit this hotel in the nearby future. And I recommend any one to do the same.

Our suite was amazing, really lovely, very good. In fact we decided that we will redecorate our flat to look exactly like it so we must have loved it. The bathrooms where amazing, the hotel itself is so cool. It looks a bit weird from the road (like a conference centre) but as soon as you get in you realize that they have spent serious money on this place.

Where my complaint comes from is that there is very little life in the resort off season. If you stick to your room then that's OK but the breakfast was basic and we felt that all the staff has almost disappeared from the hotel. Dubrovnik itself was not much better.

Oh.. and it aint cheap either.

We stayed at the resort for 8 nigths last week. Its a luxury resort with excellent rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. It s a resort 12 km from Dubrovnik but easily accessible from the hotel by bus.The resort is like a small village with restaurants and shops ,pools and bars. The beach in front of the hotel is not great but with calm and clean water. It has stunning views of the adriatic sea and is worth renting a car to visit the coast and Montenegro. It was a great experience!

Dear Guests,
Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with our team, and we are truly delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our location slightly outside Dubrovnik gives us the advantage of being able to offer a range of facilities and services to ensure that even during stays of 8 days you can always enjoy new experiences each day. Indeed, going into Dubrovnik by shuttle boat (which runs 4 times per day in July/August) rather than by bus or car offers a view of the Old Town that many visitors to Dubrovnik never see, or making a trip to the Peljesac peninsula or neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina or Montenegro always adds another dimension to your stay. Whilst our beach, like almost all beaches in Croatia, is not a sandy beach, each year we invest considerable amounts of money to repair it after the usual winter storms and make it as accessible and enjoyable as possible and thus making it one of the best beaches in the Dubrovnik area. As a result each summer it shall be better, and we really hope that your journeys will bring you our way again in the not too distant future.
Kind regards,
Zdenko Leko.
