“Horrible experience!”
Reviewed September 29, 2011

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! I was traveling with my daughter, 17 yrs old, for her first trip to Paris. The hotel guidelines on line didn't advise that food or drink was forbidden in the rooms - yet they offered a bottle of water to buy in the room. I attempted to use their "free wireless internet" - this is all BS - couldn't access the system and it couldn't be accessed in the foyer either. The front desk clerk said it must be my computer - NOT!! I wanted to purchase a beer for me and my daughter - we are in Europe and the drinking age is 16 and if I choose to buy a beer for my daughter then I should be permitted to do so. The hotel would not serve a beer to my daughter. The final straw was how rude the staff was to everyone - pathetic and not worth the so called "value".

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Disneyland and Paris. The staff were helpful & polite. The restaurant food was better than expected. The room (for 4) was small but adequate and quite comfortable. Plenty of hot water. We smuggled in a kettle and no-one complained (we were discreet!) Taxis to Disneyland and the nearest train stations cost around 15 to 20 euros per trip for 4 people - quite expensive. Overall, very good value for money.

THis hotel is the worst hotel I have stayed in. when we first arrived we tried to book in to resturant which had at the most a dozen people in it, we were told that it would be at least an hour before we ould be served, as the chef was under pressure, The only thing that was close to the hotel was a pizzeria but you werent allowed to bring anything that was bought from inside in to hotel so we has to eat on a park bench.
I was also pregnant and was told i could not even have a bottle of water in the room as food and drink were forbidden in room and we would be sanctioned if caught with any.
We also asked about the television and were told there were english channels but hen we got to the room all these channels were locked, the next day I went down to ask about the tv again and was told there were no english channels.
the air condition was only put on at night so when we came back from disney the rooms were uncomfortably warm.
We noticed that some of the breakfast items were out the night before which allowed flies to have a feast before anyone else.
Disney is not close to this hotel and costs 20 euros each way the hotel says it runs a shuttle which is the same price as a taxi, it leaves at 9.30 and picks you up at 6.30 which means you miss the parades in disney. Also when we enquired about the buses we were meet with hostility and told the bus stop was round the corner. with no other information, even the fact that the number 22 does not run on a saturday and sunday and you have to get a different bus.
As for the bar you had to wait at least 20 minutes before being served even tho the reception desk was beside the bar, They would watch you from the desk then when they felt like it they then served you.
the welcome booklet also claims the rooma are sound proof they are not.
I know this is long winded but i would seriously advise people not go here. the staff are rude unhelpful and the rooms are not that great. and it is not convenient to Disney

This hotel is shocking!! Reception staff weren't the friendliest. Hotel has the following signs in English. It is forbidden to take food or drink to your room It is forbidden to iron in your room It is forbidden to take food from the restaurant to your room and if u do so u will be fined 5 euros It is forbidden to smoke.... List goes on If u have a quadruple room don't expect to be able to open the window and u will want to because the room gets very hot! Room shabby, no tea making facilities, no fridge, darkand dingy. Prison has more comforts. 10 euro deposit for remote for tv. Restaurant expensive. Breakfast satisfactory but definitely will not return.

The night staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant was good. However we had a problem with the key card for our room as it would not work, so we were constantly up and down the lift to get the night staff to get us into our room, which when travelling with young children was extremely frustrating. We asked the reception the next morning about a discount for our stay because of this, however he had to ask the manageress, called Karino I believe. However she walked straight past us and ignored us, she left the receptionist to deal with the problem and said because we could still access our room that this was acceptable!!!!! We found her attitude extremely rude and unprofessional and would suggest she takes a course in customer service.

We stayed for one night 20th Feb 2011 - two adults and two children and paid £54 for an internet booking. The hotel takes about 15 minutes to drive to from Disneyland, is easy to find, and the reception staff speak good English and are helpful.

We were asked to pay local tax on arrival which got our backs up but it was only E1.85 so we breathed out again!

The room was small with 2 single beds and a bunkbed and the bathroom was dated but everything was clean and after a day at the park it was just what we needed as somewhere to crash.

The water was hot for showers and there were enough clean towels.

Breakfast was fine although as others have commented on here, get here by 9am or the croissants will have gone. Also there is cereals, fruit and fruit juice, yoghurts and french bread. Perfectly pleasant continental fare.

Another point made on here is that the entrance is very tight to the car park, so be careful and go straight on and around, don't try to turn right as you enter.

Once you are there the Val d'europe shops are 5 minutes drive away and reception can give you a map of how to get there.

Obviously if luxury and a large cooked breakfast are important to you this is not for you but if you want decent, cheap and cheerful then its perfectly fine.

Staff very helpful except for one rude girl. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast could be better but then considering the cost, can't complain. If not driving, get a bus to val de europe train station for €1.60 and from there get the train to anywhere in paris(including disneypark) The only snag is that the last bus back to chanteloup leaves val de Europe at 2220 unless you are planning to get a €20 taxi back. Excellent value for money.
