Great traditional French restaurant on the road from Lucon to Avrille. Food and service first class. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and no pressure on guests. The food is well cooked and presentation excellent. I recommend a visit if your are visiting this part of the Vendee.

Our party of 4 included some fussy eaters but we need not have worried as the Auberge"s menu caters for all tastes.
The food was exquisite and the service and wine first class.
We only wish we had found this eatery earlier in our holiday.
I would highly recommend.

We arrived earlier than we should have done....and in the middle of quite a busy Lunch Service. However we had a drink for 15 minutes and the very charming Chef Owner came out of his Kitchen to greet us and to fetch our key. A lovely welcome! This encouraged me to have a light Lunch (my second of the day!) and it was delightful......
Our Bedroom was one of the better ones (there are only four) and was exceptionally comfortable with a nice sized very comfortable Bed and lovely bathroom too.
We were out for Dinner with friends elsewhere so couldn't have Dinner in the Restaurant (a great pity as the Menu was stunning.)
We would highly recommend this Restaurant to eat in ....and stay overnight if you can and over indulge....you'll be glad you did as the Breakfast was worth getting out of Bed for!
Do visit....you'll be very glad that you did.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Dinner was delicious and good value for money. The bedroom was calm and beautifully appointed. Service was unobtrusive. Breakfast was lovely and served when you want it. It's pity that more people don't stay here - we were the only people there. However, it meant we had the place to ourselves! I would definitely go back.

Since reviewing early last year, I've given up eating eggs and dairy. A quick e-mail to Dominique and I was reassured that he would be able to cater for me. I wasn't disappointed; clearly a lot of thought had gone into the menu as even the amuse-bouche had been adapted. We've already booked again for later this month to celebrate a family birthday. Highly recommended.
