“Fantastic - relaxng and great hospitality”
Reviewed April 13, 2010

Stayed for several nights in March 2010. Sue and Steve are very welcoming and really make you feel at home. Fish Eagles Lodge is set in a very peaceful location on the Sundays River... perfect for birdwatching (yes, we did see a fish eagle!), and relaxing on the verandah, the putting green or gently rowing on the river itself.

Also brilliantly located for Addo + elephants, other wildlife parks and lots more in the area eg. walking with cheetahs, playing with lion cubs, tickling meerkats, cuddling a python....).

Very highly recommended.

Thank you Sue and Steve for two very relaxing days at Fish Eagles Lodge!

Located directly at the Sundays river it is a hidden treasure. Absolutely peaceful and it offers fantastic possibilities to enjoy nature and the bird life there: Ibis, colourful birds and we even saw the fish eagle – so the name of the Lodge is 100% justified. Sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine, having breakfast in the sun and enjoy the view – perfectly relaxing. Unfortunately our digi cam was not good enough to take good pictures from all the birds.

Sue and Steve were very kind and helped us in arranging our trips (Addo, Schotia, Lenmore reptile farm etc.). Located approx. 20 min from Addo main gate it offers a perfect starting basis for your trips. And - don´t miss to have dinner with Sue and Steve and enjoy their fantastic food and their hospitality. 100% recommendation.
