We went here on a privately organised shore excursion (Silvio Lavader), after having gone to the beautiful Clos Saint Magdaleine vineyard in Cassis.

Both are amazing in their own way. We only had about an hour to go round this, but it really is an amazing place, with state of the art equipment, combined with superb quality wine.

We were there on a Saturday, so the production facility was not working, so I would advise going on a tour on a week day.

We did not have time to go round the other parts of the estate.

If you are on the Norwegian Epic or similar then please see

Silvio will sort you out a great day.

Set in the middle of beautiful countryside and lovely vinyards and olive groves are world class art installations. After walking through the vinyards and admiring the well placed sculpture one can have a delightful meal in the restaurant and sample the product. A very nice way to spend an afternoon(or evening if you get there on a concert night).

We visited this exceptionally beautiful vineyard sculpture park with friends recently, and were blown away by the quality of the art in stunning surroundings, only to be disappointed by arrogant and inexperienced service in their restaurant afterwards.
We were made to wait twenty minutes after our reservation time, whilst watching another couple breeze up and sit down at another table. When seated we were placed at a table in direct sunlight, having at the time of booking requested a table in the shade, and despite my request to sit at an available shady table. Again despite requests, no water was brought to our table, after a two hour walk through the vineyard, re-hydration is an imperative not an imposition. I chose to get my own water for the table, direct from the kitchen. Service continued in a nonchalant fashion through the meal. We would have left at the outset but we had youngsters with us who were hungry.
Prior to payment I spoke to the manager, outlining the problems and asking that the service charge be completely removed. He apologised and complied gracefully, accepting fault personally.
I hope we were unlucky because this is a stunning venue, the food is fresh and well presented, it deserves good service.
I even bought a few cases of wine, determined to give the vineyard the benefit of the doubt.
Don't be put off by this review, the venue is stunning, but do not put up with shoddy service.

Wonderful walking tour of art installations (Louise bourgeois, Liam Gillick, Richard Serra, etc) and top-notch starchitects (Frank Gehry -I've always wondered where the installation he designed for the Serpentine in London went...- Tadao Ando, Jean Nouvel, etc) scattered in the middle of hilly vineyards. It takes about 1.5 / 2h to complete so avoid mid-day during the summer and pack a bottle of water and a snack if you have little ones coming along...

Too bad the brochure doesn't give any info about the installations / artists beyond the name, title and year. It would really enrich the tour telling people about each piece without undermining the hands-on experience.

Cute café inside with great plum tart!
