Our vibrant art-inspired ambience is designed to entice the senses and the spices-laden aroma is reminiscent of the rustic cuisine and exotic flavours of the Indian subcontinent that are expertly recreated by our Master Chef. The FoodExperience the warmth and succour with every bite - 'The Indus' signature entrée boasts a variety of succulent meat and vegan kebabs, made from authentic ingredients, using traditional preparations. The selection of fine ambrosia from some of the world's most celebrated wineries, and the distinctively refreshing non-alcoholic beverages are truly mesmerising. “Over Priced Average Food”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

This is the first time we have been to Indus near the opera house in Muscat. It is a great location and we were welcomed warmly by the staff. The resturant itself is strange, it lacks any kind of atmosphere and was freezing cold. We ordered our food and some drinks and relaxed into our evening. The staff are maybe a little over enthusiastic but very willing to help. Our food came and we were very dissapointed. It was very average Indian fare. To be honest you can get better at a back street Indian in Ruwi for a few Riyals. The hammour dish was definately kingfish or had gone off!! The wine was good and we did enjoy our evening but the prices for average food is ridiculous. I really hope it improves all round and gets better. I will stick to Mumtaz Mahal - much better for everything.

“Excellent restaurant but steeply priced”

“overpriced tourist offerings”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

somewhat bland dishes that appear to have been tailored to suit all palates- hence a lack of authenticity!
also, rather expensive for such tiny portions and eagle-eyed staff watching every move!

“The Indus”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

Dreadful. Incredibly expensive and very small portions. The alchohol is way over priced. One is obviously paying for the loction and the decor. The room is too bright and the venue is boring. Absolutely no atmosphere, and the staff are standing over you like vultures...I could not relax at all. Wont be back.

At the outset, please accept my apologies for not being able to have a relaxing experience at the restaurant. We value your comments even more, since it is for the first time that we have had somebody complaining about our service. In our attempt to be courteous and hospitable, it seems that we were over-fawning. We shall correct this at once.

We would truly be fortunate to have you visit us once again to allow us the opportunity of building your faith in our deep intent to offer a memorable time to our esteemed guests.

We were recently awarded for being the Best Newcomer in the Oman Today Restaurant Awards. And we are serious about being the best in Fine Dining, for which we have a lot to learn. Your feedback will go a long way.

Once again, let not one visit form an indelible impression. Give us a chance to erase that and form new exciting ones.

“Highly Recommended”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

Good serene location, Superb decor, Great Food. The staff is excellent and the service is great. We left it to the staff to recommend the dishes for our family of three and we were not disappointed at all. My daughter who is very fussy found the food excellent. The prices are a bit steep but the overall experience makes up for it. The have a open dining area in the long balcony with a nice view but then it was hot in the afternoon - Assume it would be nice to go in the evenings for the balcony area. We goofed up on the tip, but will certainly make up for it when we go there the next time, which will be very soon. Highly recommended.
