Four or five visits now, since they opened a few months ago.
First thing people will notice is the stunning decor. Modern, contemproary and mercyfully none of these kitsch items that too often adorn Indian restaurants.
Attentive and extremely keen service.
Unusually (for Muscat) the waiters know what is in the food and can describe every dish on the menu.
Food is trully delicious, with some rather unusual items.
Very, very good vegetarian dishes, excellent, fresh breads (and not just the usual stuff).
The chefs obviously know what they are doing. We hope the team will stay put and not be replaced by cheaper labour. This sort of thing happens all too often here. Hire a star team for the opening, and as soon all is up and running the more expensive staff is replaced....
Desserts are a bit forgettable, at least for non-Indian tastes. If you can still fit in something sweet after a delicious dinner, "More Cafe", one floor down has some yummy cakes and such.
The Indus has an alcohol license, which is a big plus!
Outdoor seating on the verandah is unfortunately alcohol free. One would not want to corrupt someone driving by on the road 300 meters away...
One tiny negative thing is the ARCTIC air conditioning. Bring a jacket or scarf!
We will definately be back.
