Its a secluded beach but a wonderful place to visit. The drive to this beach is amazing through the mountains. We go fishing to this place and end up with a good catch most of the times. There are a few houses near the beach.

...the road takes along a beautiful creek. Much nicer than Yiti, and ideal if you only have a couple of hours (round trip with 30 minutes to visit) to have a taste of Oman.

Yiti is just 9 kilometers from the Shangrila resort. Before going on excursion you can stop there to see the view and the traditional village.

I leave Muscat early enough in the morning for my drive to the Yiti area to catch an awesome sunrise over Old Muscat.

The drive to Yiti with rolling hills, mountainous terrain and gorgeous scenery makes going there more than worthwhile. The beach area is not the typical “Caribbean” style beach that I am use but still definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature.

A quiet, but unserviced, beach, where you can get away from the tourists at one end of the beach, or watch the local fishermen unloading their catch at the other end.

You can get a car on the beach, but beware, I had to help dig somebody out, who had got his 2wd vehicle stuck.
