Great Fitness centre. Breakfast was delicious. My youngest daughter loved the pool she spent hours there and my other daughter used the business centre to email her University some essays. The staff were very helpful as they accommodated any request with a smile. All in all a great hotel!

Good hotel - if you are after a business stay at a relatively reasonable rate this would be a good choice. Free internet connection is quick (I was surprised), restaurants are reasonably priced as well (for a Business traveller. Swimming pool is a little small if that is how you get fit, but fitness room has a reasonable range of machines and free weights.

After reading the below glowing reviews of this hotel, I am fairly confident that they have been written by the staff themselves. Phrases such as 'we were treated like family' and 'There is a great range of facilities here' do not correlate with the hotel we stayed in.

The staff were unfriendly (the manager particuallary grumpy and spent most of his time smoking on the terrace), the receptionists were unwilling to order Oman taxi's for us and made us stand on the street to do so and the facilities consisted of a outdated pool area with hideous sports screens and a business centre which looks like something out of Faulty Towers.

The rooms themselves are clean but very basic. From the one wine glass we were given to share between two of us to the curtains that barely shut out the roadside view and the honking horns and drunken revelers from the hotels grotty Irish pub below.

If you are looking for a Travel Lodge level of stay then this hotel won't disappoint but if you are used the usual standard of Radisson Blu Hotel's then let our experience be a warning to you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the Irish pub downstairs, drunken revelers do not make for a good night sle...

I like this hotel, a lot, maybe because I stayed there a lot when I used to work as a flight attendant about 4 years ago. i've probably been there at least 10-14 times downroute as a crew member.
reception and lobby quite glamorous and stylish, pool nice except muscat weather is like soooooo bad and the humidity is like 100 % and the temperature is like 45 % more like sitting insdie a steam room except during the winter months when it's the only time it's actually pleasant like europe in the summer.

not much to do in the hotel but there is a bar which is quite nice, pool, small gym if you wanna work out, and most importantly the rooms are quite comfortable and nice. don remember if its a 4 or 5 star hotel. they have baskets full of green apples on all corridors so you can grab one if you want. the sauna and steam room are quite nice, but i dont recommend going nude as this is an old fashioned arab country and i was probably the only one wearing a towel, the few people i saw there wore swimming trunks, etc. except for one swedish man who wore a towel like me.
they also have a massage service with thai masseuses, though i haven't tried it.
the open buffet is quite nice with a large selection of pretty much everything you could want.

overall recommended hotel, the only downside would be its location as i think it's nowhere near the center of muscat (downtown).

The Hotel was ok - staff were friendly & the hotel was clean but it was located right beside a multi lane highway. Ok if you're transitioning for a night, but not so good when you can mark one eyeball drivers going by while you are in the pool ... The breakfast buffet was superb!

In an effort to keep costs down a bit, a colleague and I stayed here for a week-long business trip in February. We chose to upgrade to Club rooms on check in, and this was a really good option for us as we needed space to be able to work together.

The rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need. They're newer than the Intercon, so win my vote for that alone. And they're less ornate than the Grand Hyatt, which I often find a bit fussy.
The breakfast is lovely, and the option to have a (very reduced selection) breakfast in the business lounge is also quite good as it's much quieter.

The pool is lovely, but one morning there was a man cleaning the women's changing rooms who didn't seem willing to leave even though I wanted to get changed! Thankfully I just went up to my room to change, but that was a bit weird.

We ate one lunch in the hotel, and sat outside by the pool which was lovely. The staff were surprised we were willing to sit in the sun (they had said there were no more tables because there were no more in the shade), but it was only February so it was a really nice temperature. The food was also good - a perfectly decent club sandwich.

The happy hour in the business lounge is GREAT though. The snacks are pretty good, but the pour-your-own approach to drinks is what made it for me! I can mix up my G&T just how I like it!

Really, what worked best for us was being able to use a table in the business lounge to work in the evenings and for one whole day. It's a good space for that, and wasn't at all crowded (until a lot of Americans arrived one day for some Middle East basketball tournament!). They even let us borrow an extension cable to plug our computers in.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only exception was at the lobby coffee bar where we waited AGES to get served, then the guy wandered off without saying anything. Apparently he had run out of cream and had to make some more (how do you even make cream? Was he churning it himself?!) but it would have been nice if he'd told us this at the beginning rather than just leave us standing there for literally 15 minutes.

It was always easy to get taxis, and the Radisson is also well located if you want to venture out to a local cafe.

Overall, I'd definitely stay here on business again, and I think I actually prefer it to the 5* hotels which can feel a little bit too much at times.

Stayed for 6 nights in April and would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping over in Muscat. Staff were very professional and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent with the breakfast being really good with loads of options. Good swimming pool with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds - although there would not have been enough if the hotel had been full. We checked in at 0930 and the room was ready for us and when we checked out at 0200 in the morning, that also went smoothly. If we return to Oman, we would stay again.
