First impressions are that it is very simple, elegant and understated -completely different from the Shangri-la (from what I've heard).
It is very exclusive and this can sometimes come across as pretentious but the staff are friendly and helpful.
Bear in mind that all of the food at the hotel is very expensive and there isn't a lot within walking distance so you will need to hire a car or get taxis should you wish to eat elsewhere.
I am glad we stayed at the Chedi and you do feel special. It has a very boutique feel to it.More
