I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip to Muscat. The property is quite nice and the staff very friendly. I had a sea-view room and the view was so nice to wake up to each morning. My room itself was a little bit dated in terms of décor, but it was clean and the bed very comfortable. I had free wifi that worked off and on.
The buffet breakfast is great - good food and lots of selection.
The fitness centre is also great with lots of cardio equipment and a fairly large section of free weights. The pool area is quite nice and I had no problem finding a lounge chair in the sun or shade. From the hotel property guests can walk directly onto the beach. You can walk along the ocean for several kilometres and see other hotel properties along the water. I went to the beach on a Friday afternoon but opted instead to stay at the pool as the beach was quite empty. At sunset beach traffic picked up with many locals going for a walk or playing soccer in the sand.
The hotel readily has taxis available and it is a 7 JD ride to the Muscat Souq and an 8JD ride to the airport.
