My friends and I had a splendid time on this trip. We came looking to enjoy the grand Omani nature, relax, and spend quality time together and got to do all three in abundance.

The driving and exploring part of the trip was fantastic. We got to do real off road driving in typical desert sand dunes and the vast, arid Omani landscape. We would also stop in scenic places, switch the jeeps for our feet and venture into the famous Wadi’s, where we could do a miniature cliff dive and some light rock climbing and exploration. Leading us where capable, affable guides who were keen to share their enthusiasm for off-road driving and bounds of accumulated experience. They modified the routes and activities where needed to give us the ultimate experience.

We concluded our days at a modest yet charming resort perched atop the side of a ravine with great views. The staff at the resort did their utmost best to cater to our needs, and served a delectable barbecue atop the small hill where we were visiting. We could also swim and relax by the pool while the kids could use the zipline and enjoy other sporting activities.

A downside for me was the beds, which were quite hard and did not make for a very comfortable nights sleep. The food was nutritious and satisfactory, but nothing more. That being said, if I wanted a 5 star meal I would go to a restaurant and not to a desert.

All in all, a timeless experience that whetted my appetite for more. I would certainly recommend iDrive.

We enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Oman Wadi’s. From beginning to end everything was perfectly organised. Special requests were honored, and at al times we felt like we were in capable hands. We are looking forward to a next trip with the iDrive team!
