Truly amazing. The mussels were divine, and the the scotch egg was to die for. Awesome atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My girlfriend and I would recommend for a relaxing yet tasty meal out for anyone. Thank you very much

Great experience unlike The Swan at Burford. I really enjoyed lunch here and if you are in the vicinity of this establishment, pop in, you will not be disappointed.
Good bread, comfy chairs, good service, excellent food and reasonably priced.
The owner of The Swan at Burford instead of writing a vitriolic response to my review to his place, should come here and see how it should be done!
Well done everybody, I thought it was great.

Have driven past The Swan on a number of occasions and decided to book Sunday lunch. Lovely pub, good "feel" to the place augured well but sadly it did not live up to expectations. My wife is a vegetarian and asked for a Vegetarian roast. They took the order and then as an after thought just before it arrived she checked that it would have vegetarian gravy. She was advised that they had none. Call me picky but a Vegetarian meal is not vegetarian if it comes with meat gravy! She was also advised that they would replace the Beef with a vegetarian item but this failed to materialise. When she highlighted this the Manager said she would check with the kitchen and never returned. If you have pretensions to be a gastro-pub you kind of have to deliver, otherwise you are just an over priced pub. On a positive note the other 3 meals were good, but over priced

We popped in for lunch completely on spec as we were passing through the area and made a detour in the wet to Southrop; we were delighted by the most delicious lunch beside the fire in the bar area. The blackboard menu is huge - plenty of choice, good beer and wine and the surroundings really nice. I can highly recommend it. Friendly service and great value food.

This stunning cotswold pub just has it all. I went for a quick lunch with a friend and could have happily stayed all week! It delivered in every way. The interior is stunning but still warm and welcoming retaining a proper country pub feel. Roaring fires and a friendly welcome was followed by a menu that was difficult to choose from because I wanted it all! Chicken confit terrine, warm lentil and roasted squash salad, chestnut and cured ham, white beetroot soup with thyme oil - yum yum! None of our choices disappointed and all arrived promptly.

Really impressive - I have already booked a return trip this weekend with the family - can't wait!
