We loved staying here. The house is lovely and full of history. We had very hot weather and it was wonderful to sit out at night chewing the cud with Oscar the St Bernard in attendance! Denis was busy with the vendange and Sarah looked after us beautifully as well as having good chats with us covering the whole of French history while producing traditional dishes for breakfast. Her heart really is in making sure you are well looked after. There were also a lovely French couple staying and had lots of friendly conversations with them over breakfast. Our room was quite large and we did have the run of the kitchen in the evening
If you want complete privacy you might not get it since I think there are 4 rooms using the outside space and kitchen and the chateau is near a road but I think people are generally respectful of others and the road didn't intrude too much for us.
If you like something away from tourist traps and want to get know France I recommend!More
