After one weekend with James and Olly I'm totally sold on glamping and 100% hooked on surfing. If you're considering the Medoc sanctuary surf is the way to go with spectacular beaches, great company, and incredible food.

Me and my girlfriend where looking for a first holiday and it was the most exciting trip we could have ever asked for!

The four days we spent at sanctuary surf were incredible. The flexibility of our holiday was amazing and the way James and Ollie were able to pick us up from the airport was brilliant as it meant it was stress free. The accommodation was beautifully laid out and luxury of the beds and the feeling of being out in nature was a blessing. The food was outstanding and really gave us a insight into the French lifestyle. James and Ollie made us feel very welcomed and were super fun to be with, not a bad moment. They hooked us up with surf lessons which meant we were able to progress and enjoy the surf on the beautiful beach without being swept away! The whole holiday was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone of all ages and abilities. Thanks again guys for making the trip super special !

We spent a fabulous 4 days with Sanctuary Surf. This was our first experience of glamping, we are now hooked!! Ollie and James were perfect hosts and tailored our visit to us, plenty of water sports surfing/SUP but also time to chill. Beautiful local area and beach/lakes. We were so impressed with the camp site and luxury tents but also the food. Would also really recommend attending the yoga classes on the beach!!
Thank you for our stay Ollie and James, looking forward to the next time

Whether it’s a relaxing, chilled-out holiday you’re looking for or an action-fuelled activity-packed all round great time then this is the perfect place for you!

Ollie and James were the perfect hosts, being attentive, fun, friendly and professional. The food was incredible (cooked by our very own James Martin - actually his name) and there was plenty of beer and wine around to keep us happy. They organised yoga and joined in on the fun of SUP and surf. They run what is the perfect personable coastal experience next to one of the most beautiful cities in France!

Can’t wait to go back one day...
Thanks again guys ‍♀️

A gorgeous, relaxing 5 days at Sanctuary Surf. My friend and I were the first guests of the season and made very welcome - trying paddle boarding for the first time and we loved it - exploring different areas of France’s largest lake everyday. Olly and James - our hosts were engaging, welcoming, professional and fun and nothing was too much trouble. As the camp wasn’t too busy they also had time to join us paddle boarding which was great. And even better our chef for the week was James - quietly knocking up cakes, flans, pancakes and 3 course meals for us throughout the week - they wouldn’t let us lift a finger! The camp is lovely - glamping tents with the amazing addition of en-suite which we loved especially at night!! It’s relaxing, fun and good eating here! Come before the boy’s retreat gets too popular and you can’t get in!!
