We can not recommend this place highly enough.
The chateau, the parc and the settings are beautiful. It is a peaceful place where you can relax very easily.
Mr and Mrs Miecaze, the owners, are extremely pleasant, warm and very passionate about what they do and their beautiful wine.
The continental breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The fridge with drinks and yogurts is a bonus.
All in all, a gem.
We would definitely go back!

Room Tip: The four rooms are beautifully decorated. Berenice is very impressive though!

I dont really understand why so many people rave about this Chambres d'hote. There is nothing wrong with it, but aside from the setting which you can appreciate only from the outside, it's nothing special.

The guest accomodation is set apart from the main house in an attached annexe. The communal kitchen through which one walks to get to the accomodation on the upper floor is handy for making tea/coffee but gives a vibe of the hostel rather than a posh B&B. The room we stayed in was relatively small but my main moan was that though there were 2 side-by-side showers, the emphasis on stylish fittings meant that there was nowhere to put your personal toiletries, razor, tooth brushes etc so they ended up on the floor. And, when sitting in the kitchen, I could hear my partner flush the toilet. Hardly classy.

Breakfast was of a perfectly acceptable standard but, again, did not rise above what one could expect in far cheaper accomodation.

The hostess was polite and friendly but she never introduced herself or shook our hands which is a courtesy commonly extended.

So, all in all, a pleasant enough stopover that sufficed for one night but the romantic experiences other reviewers have reported certainly eluded us.

We stayed for just one night while visiting a neighbouring wine producer, very welcoming hostess, fridge of drinks available in the kitchen, continental breakfast. Very comfortable room and bathroom.

A lovely setting, my wife and I stayed for a weekend with her sister and husband. We were made to feel welcome and felt at home right from the start. The rooms are modern and finished to a high standard. The breakfast was very good and is a great place to stay to explore the famous vineyards of the Bordeaux area. If you want accommodation that will offer you just a bit more than you might expect, this is a great choice. Highly Recommended.

Chateau de Leognan was a beatiful place. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and uniquely decorated. They looked like a page in a decorating magazine. The Chateau in the outside looks very historic and classic, but the rooms are modern and very charming. The breakfast room was a french country room, and the food was plentiful and fresh. But what makes it so special was our host, she made us feel like family, she was very attentive and gracious.
I enjoyed running in the mornings around the vineyard, but even our peaceful walks were amazing. It was a great experience.

Chateau Leognan absolutely blew us away, and we will be returning there as quickly as we can.

It is the perfect place for a peaceful yet exciting break, and acts as a good base to discover the many vineyards that South Bordeaux has to offer.

The Chateau and it's grounds are stunning and have lots of character. There is a beautiful chapel within the grounds and one of my favourite things is the many animals that roam around the grounds. We already miss Max the dog!!

The accomodation is lovely, with 4 rooms, each unique to their own design. We stayed in cappuchine, which was perfect, and each room over looks the chapel out the back of the Chateau. The service from Chantel is 1st class, and she is genuinely one of the most helpful people we have met in our life. There is a lovely communal breakfast area for the mornings with lost of nice patries, bread and fuit juice on offer.

1 reccomendation I would make is that you would need to hire a car to get around. There are very limited amounts of taxis in the local area, and the Chateau is quite remote!!

The vineyard it's self is beautiful and it was great fun exploring the grounds with the pond on the edge of the vineyard.

I could not recommend this place highly enough, Chantel was the perfect host, and it really did make our visit to Bordeaux quite memorable, just remember to hire a car!!!!!!
