We stayed in the Azure room.
The window curtains are not block out, so for anyone who is sensitive to light waking them in the morning, the Azure room is not for you. As soon as the sun is up - so are you. The curtain over the bed needs changing as it's completely see through and doesn't prevent light coming in.

For the price we thought a quality hand soap should of been made available instead of motel style wrapped soap. Also, the toilet had a continuous leak that you needed to tap several times to fix. This became annoying, not to mention the waste of water.

We were also informed by the owner that the main lounge room was his but feel free to use. Subsequently we felt a bit uncomfortable using that room as we may be imposing in their space. Given that the promotional material displays this room with the beautiful fire all lit up, this was a bit misleading.

At the time of our stay the spa in the pool wasn't working.

The breakfast was nice, however freshly squeezed orange juice would of been better instead of the overly sweet bottle variety you are given.

It was still a lovely, relaxing stay.

Thanks for your comments.
The Azure Kingfisher Suite was not designed to have block out curtains favouring instead the natural daylight and garden views. The window over the bed is not overlooked from anywhere and it is impossible to see into the room from outside. Again, the curtain is designed as a decorative feature.
As far as the soap is concerned cheap "motel" soap it is not! It is the very best I can commercial obtain locally, and is individually wrapped for hygiene. This has never drawn a comment before.

The continuous "leak" from the toilet that you spoke of was not a leak, but simply the flush button had not been released properly and guests are told how to operate the flush when checking into a room.
The upstairs lounge is for guests only, the down stairs lounge with the fireplace is communal and guests are more than welcome to use it.
Sorry about the spa, it is now repaired and operational again.
Finally breakfast orange juice supplied is just locally purchased juice.
There is a section on the guest registration form for special requests, and also in the compendium under the breakfast menu, there is a section that mentions special requests. Nobody in many years of operation has ever mention the Orange juice!
Guests should ask on check in and freshly squeezed juice will be provided at no extra cost

2 days at Kingfishers Manor = 2 days in heaven! Set amongst tranquil bushland at the end of a quiet street, the grandeur of the house belies its internal warmth and comfort. There's no stiffness or standing on ceremony here, no obsequious manner (or indifference) of hotel staff, just a lovely relaxed atmosphere, with the totally amazing host anticipating and catering for every need. My room was spacious and airy, the bed devine, and the bathroom large enough to satisfy any claustrophobe! To my delight the pool was more than adequate for serious swimming and lying in the recliner afterwards, enjoying a glass of chilled wine and hearing nothing but birdsong, was sheer bliss. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy being far from the madding crowd!

From the moment we arrived our every whim was catered for, a swim in a lovely clean sparkling pool with it’s own small grotto then a delightful spa set in bush surroundings above the pool while our host provided us with a cool refreshing wine.
What a pleasure awaited us when shown to our room, large with French doors opening out to the patio and access to the pool area, very comfortable bed and a neat ensuite with all the fittings of a full size bathroom!.
A full 3 course dinner was supplied by our host, a man of many talents a Chef obviously being one of them. After dinner a relaxing time in the spacious lounge before retiring for the night, we will have to come in the winter next time to experience the ambience of the room when the great fire is on!
Our hearty breakfast in Ye Olde English style furnished dining room prepared us for our days shopping in Hastings St Noosa just 15 minutes away.

Not Goodbye! But Au Revoir!.

Thank you for your review.
We are sorry that you miss read our website and thought that we were on the beach, although It clearly states in several places, including full maps, that we are a 10 min drive from the main beach, in the Noosa hinterland.
Your comments about rudeness are completely unfounded, as I merely, politely and professionally pointed out that that a cancellation at short notice, in the middle of a major holiday period was not possible and against hotel policy.
Your derogatory comments about my personality are not helpful are and unfounded.
You did not enter the hotel passed the front door, and therefore could have no comments on the cleanliness of the rooms or establishment. Also you did not see, and could not have seen our pool, which is sparkling clean, immaculate, with not even a leaf in it, and the hotel grounds are a beautiful, well kept, bush setting.
The pictures of Kingfishers Manor are as true and accurate as it is possible to get.
After just standing in the entrance hall, you both decided to go outside to discuss the situation, and were going to come back to inform me of your intentions. This did not happen. You drove off after ten minutes without any instructions at all. The room was therefore kept vacant and ready for you in case you returned, but you did not.
It is unfortunate when a guest has a misconception of what they have booked and under most circumstance we will do our very best to rectify the situation, but bad manners work in both directions.
All hotels have a cancellation policy, and it is well advised to check these, and your facts before booking.

We couldn't have had a better location for our wedding reception than Kingfishers Manor. A small gathering of family and friends Ged helped us making this day unforgettable. My family from Germany stayed there and enjoyed the great service, breakfast, pool, location, etc. I would recommend Kingfishers Manor to everybody... !!

When planning my honeymoon I had browsed alot of places on the sunshine coast that were pet friendly, as you could imagine the selection was minimal and most places I could find were only holiday houses that required a certain length of stay and only during certain periods etc, they also came with alot of restrictions if you were travelling with pets. I happend to stumble across Kingfishers Manor on the internet and after reading the information and asking a few questions regarding our pet I booked straight away with no hesitation! Once we arrived it got even better!!! Not only was the room and surrounds gorgeous the service could not be rated higher! It's away from the hustle and bustle of the town for a quiet getaway but close enough to be amoungst it if you choose, the area has so many activities to choose from but thats even if you wanted to leave because it has such a relaxed atmosphere!!! I can not express enough how helpful Ged was if it was recommending an activity or restaraunt, giving directions if needed or entertaining our dog with schmackos when we were off enjoying our honeymoon. And not to mention the breakfast every moring which was fresh and delicious everytime!!! Thankyou so much for a fantastic holiday!!!

we stayed for three nights for a little R&R and were very pleased with our choice. Our host was very attentive and multi talented (currently building 2 harpsicords). The manor is a little off the beaten track so pleasantly private and secluded with the garden bordering on the native bush complete with varied bird life. Despite this it was only a 15 minute drive to Noosa Heads (you do need your own transport). Breakfasts on the terrace were excellent. We were in the middle sized room which was well appointed but perhaps a little small but we took the chance to see the largest room which is really quite magnificent if you really want to induge yourself.

Have just had an amazing 2 nights at the manor, the room was perfect and the bathroom was out of this world. The whole stay was relaxing and even got to have a swim in the great pool. Breakfast was to die for nothing was too much trouble for the host. A wonderful second honeymoon we would highly recommend to others. Perfect. Thankyou
