An unusual but interesting look at where the special gold from Wales is found and mined. Staff were well informed and the tour of the surrounding hillside made this a different attraction from most.

Very interesting, children enjoyed the panning for gold which didn't cost any extra. You need to be patient and look out for the tiny flashes of gold. We all enjoyed the walk down the mine and the climb out at the end!
You do have to pay extra for the mine tour, even if you are Natural Trust members but it's worth a look
There is a tea room and shop.

Great tour! It was my first time I went "into" the ground, and was totally worth it. Story of mines, lots of information, and great atmosphere. I could feel a bit like it could have looked centuries ago. Our tour guide was very professional, passionate and told us a lot of useful facts about caves and the mine itself.

A little off the beaten track but well worth searching out, Nice walks around the Estate and if your reasonably fit its worth the extra cost to visit the Mine Reasonable display's on the surface and a pleasant tea room . Not a lot if you have children is the only down side (we didn't)
