“Cosy homely cottage”
Reviewed March 24, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Just spent a week in this delightful cottage! Very homely,it wanted for nothing, great location with stunning views of the sea.On arrival there was a delicious homemade cake & jam,a lovely gesture! Would definitely stay here again, the only negative was the bed was too soft for my dodgy back

Thank you for your kind review and we hope to see you again soon. With regards to the bed we have put in memory foam mattresses to try and cater for as many people as possible, apologies if it was a little too soft for you.

“A great location close to the beach in an immaculate, cosy cottage.”
Reviewed May 21, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The cottage was very close to the beach and coastal walk. It was warm and well equipped and the owner paid us a friendly visit. Great views from the bedrooms and well lit downstairs. We had a great week, spending time walking the dog on the beach and touring around. Took the 95 bus to St Andrew's for fantastic views and ate fish and chips in Anstruther. Joined in the local pub quiz and had two meals at the local hotel. Enjoyed the Folk museum in Ceres and researching family history in beautiful Aberdour.

“Second fantastic visit!”

This is our second visit to Cardy Cottage. Loved it again. The cottage is clean, cosy and extremely well-equipped. Everything you need is provided by the thoughtful owners. Lovely welcome gifts on arrival were very much appreciated (milk, cake, homemade jam, flowers). Amazing comfy beds with sea views from every window. The beach is a stones throw away from the cottage, great for the children and the dog. We were lucky to have nice weather and the open fire was fab for cosy nights. Stunning walks around Tentsmuir Forest. Visited Anstruther (fantastic fish & chips and ice cream) and Pittenweem (fab hot chocolate at The Cocoa Tree, bought a beautiful print from the gallery). In summary, it is a fantastic area for a holiday and a first class cottage - I could live there! We will definitely plan a third visit in the future. Thanks for having us x

“Very good”

Very well appointed cottage, just about 30 metres from the beach. There is everything you could ever want provided for you. Soap powder, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, bottle of wine, cake, jam and milk. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of furniture to sit on, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer, towels and tea towels. Some lovely walks in the area and right next to the cottage is an old railway track you can walk on and return via the beach. Next to the Fife Coastal path. Very interesting cottage with plenty of history. From the bedrooms there is a fantastic sea view. Parking right outside the house in the small yard (bit of a tight squeeze getting through the entrance).
