We stayed at the Ocean Grand as an overnight on the way to our resort island. We arrived to Male late afternoon and our sea plane was the next day so we needed a hotel to stay overnight in Male. Hulhumalé is closer to the airport and much much calmer energy than the downtown Male. So i would searingly suggest you to choose to stay in Hulhumalé and especially in the Ocean Grand. The hotel picks you up from the airport with their private shuttle, check in was very welcoming and easy. They offered us refreshing drinks and towels which was so nice to see after a very long flight to Male. The hotel location is FANTASTIC; right in front of the beach with an amazing view. The hotel is very clean, new and beautifully decorated for its size. The breakfast is very satisfactory and the servise is top notch. The hotel takes you back to the sea plane check in location which is inside the Male International Airport. Everything is taken care of by them so we did not have any worries. I highly suggest the Ocean Grand in Male.More
