“Great Base for Exploring”

Right in the middle of the 3 Valleys. One day we went to Courchevel and the next we went to Tignes/Merbel. You can even get to the 4th Valley if your a good skier. Small resort with very little to do in the evening, but after a busy day then that's not so bad. One very good Blue run back into the resort in between the trees which is very nice and a little unusual for French resorts.

“Love this place”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

Great resort, located between the prestigious ski resorts of Courchevel and Meribel.

Can't fault La Tania. It has everything you need for a skiing trip, great access to the slopes (via 1 cable car and if the snow is decent a button lift). It has bars (only a few mind) and a couple of restaurants.

The winter is based around catered chalets and there are numerous companies operating in the area, catering for all tastes and budgets.

The resort is now also open during the summer (July & August), a couple of hotels operate along with a bar. A few companies provide activity holidays - such as rafting, mountain biking and hiking.

We've been here a few times (3 ski trips) and we are heading there for a week this summer. I would recommend it for all groups.

“Brilliant Ski Area”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

Went to La Tania in January 2012 with a group of 23, both children and adults. The ski area is fantastic for beginners and advance skiers. Some wonderful restaurants on the slopes. Not many restaurants in the town, but the town is very pretty and friendly. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Great Skiing.

“Good value resort, very good for kids”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

We like La Tania. It's small, friendly, good value and great for kids. Some nice restaurants and bars. Some are not so good so choose carefully. Avoid the main hotel. The run into the resort is one of the nicest in the afternoon because it is north facing and therefore doesn't get too slushy. Easy to get to Courchevel 1850 and Meribel. Friendly atmosphere. We will be happy to go back here next year.
